DLP v Florida? Is it worth it?

The first time we visited DLP, we heard a few people wandering around moaning "It's not as good as Florida". BUT ITS NOT FLORIDA!!!DLP does not pretend to be in Florida. It is in France, and that brings all the european charm and etiquette, enhancing the whole Disney experience!! When you visit DLP, try to ignore the lack of the "Have a nice day attitude", Dlp has its own atmosphere which makes it different to, rather than not as good, Florida.
Go to DLP with an open mind and try not to compare to Florida.
P.S. you can get a beer in DLP, now that is very european!!!!!!!

Spot on there.:thumbsup2

I love DLP just as much as WDW.......the each have there charm.

Also what people seem to not understand is that WDW has been around a lot longer then DLP, so of course WDW is going to be bigger etc. Each park is different as they have to cater for the location they are built in.

I've been a couple of times to Disneyland, once to WDW and many times to DLP.
I prefer Disneyland overall, and I didn't like WDW all that much.

Disneyland Paris, I love it a lot!!!!! I'd rather go to DLP than to WDW. The park is more beautiful/ detailed and it doesn't have that "sterile" feeling I felt at WDW. WDW to me was the big machine that shakes the money out of your pockets. If you don't plan everything 180+10 days in advance, you're out of luck for a lot of things.

DLP is also a commercial Disney-product, but it doesn't feel like that. Also, you don't have to plan, you can just go and still have dinner :)

ETA: Last weekend, I experienced one case of line-cutting at DLP... and it were Americans, from California... so I guess it's not just "us" that are that rude :rolleyes1:

Hiya, just to say We've done WDW once and DLRP once - and we have booked again for both!!

DLRP pluses are the castle definitely! and it is close to the hotels and village area. It is smaller and there's not that sense of I must rush to fit it all in... It is cheaper to get to and to stay in the heart of it.
Paris is close by.... and for us in UK, it is not a 9/10hr flight!

WDW pluses - lots of parks, lots to do, if it's busy there is always shhh Universal or Kennedy... weather is better generally (outside hurricane season) it is cleaner and the toilets smell better!:crazy2: (we went in 98 and it was the first time I had ever come across auto flush toilets!! - some locals thought it amusing when I asked how to turn the automatic taps on too :rotfl2: ).

I hope you have a great time!! You will be surprised how similar it feels and how different it feels at the same time
