ok the new york hotel it is based on new york (obviously) and is next to disney village so only a short walk to the parks it has a outdoor skating park around winter and some weird bike thing around summer i think so about the hotel:

upsides : clean
nice view of the lake and newport bay
speaker in bathroom of the tv channel your watching
nice decor
comfy beds

downsides: NO AIR CODITIONING
beds extremly hot
can't open windows

ok new york is very good but the aircoditioning is really bad i went in december it was freezing outside and snowing (so nice and magical) but boling inside the views were very nice (good photo spot) i had a room in the middle on the top floor and could see everything. beds where comfy but where hot the moment u get in u start to sweat. average french tv channels plus disney channels and disneyland tour program thing the speaker in the bathroom for the tv is nice so you can listen to french people talking whilst you have a pee ! the bahroom and roomwas nice and clean with nice decor the whole hotel had a nice new york normal hotel feel and looked like it too
breakfast was your average normal french breakfast crossaints ,pain-ou-chocolats, fruit salad, rolls, yogurt, juice tea and coffee but what i found was this weird pudding called new york style pudding it tasted like apple and porriage when i got home i found a recipe for it , it was made of crossiants and pain-ou-chocolats and other things it was very strange but tasted ok.

ok final verdic 7/10 short distance from park nice all round but no aircoditioning so beware in summer u will probaly be able to cook eggs on the floor i would give it 10/10 if it had air-coditioning

Interesting to read your views however the Hotel New York does have air conditioning. :confused3 we were easily able to control the temperature of our room.

I have stayed here twice before and I love it!

Thanks for your review. I've never stayed there but I know it is highly regarded :)

Our room at the NPB had airconditioning, so I'm sure the HNY would have. :confused3

I have to say that in March we found the NPB very warm, they obviously do crank up the heating in the winter months, but I found the airconditioning too noisy, so we resorted to good old fashioned opening the windows. :)

im sure my room had no air coditioning i couldn't find any vents, temp controls nothing mabye it was just that room ?

All the rooms at these hotels should have the vents and controls - I don't know what can have happened to yours? :confused3

I'm glad you enjoyed your stay there apart from that - I love the HNY myself. :thumbsup2

BTW - I like your signature!! :teeth:

We have stayed in the HNY in January. And as you can see here our room had air condition!

And by the way the breakfast in all Disney hotels is not French breakfast (that would be croissant and black coffee!) it is continental breakfast. And you get much more in every Disney hotel than you mentioned! You get different kinds of cold meat and cheese. And in HNY and the DLH you even get your cheese in slices and not in cubes like in the other 4 hotels. :goodvibes

Also when we were there last in december there was scambled eggs and sausages. (not when we went in september however we thought the breakfast was V.Good.)

Just noticed on another site that the ice rink has been transformed into a Go-Karting track this year. Strange choice - In my experience Go-Karts are smelly and noisy. :confused3

would of thought it be a bit small for go karts. :confused3

I saw some pictures the other day - it doesn't look particularly lovely.
