So, after this trip I made some decisions and now have some questions.
I like going in spring because it's not so crowded. But I'll thought it would be nice to have my birthday celebrated in DLP. But it's in August. So would I be mad to go around 16th August? How are crowd levels? Because this is the main reason I'd rather go in spring...

I don't think you've ever been to DLP in any European school holidays, have you Isila?

August will be a whole different ball game, very busy compared to what you're used to, and much longer opening hours for the main park.

You will have to plan your days a lot more than what you're used to, especially with the boys at their ages.

You might be better sticking to spring then, because it's really, really busy in August. The last time we went (August 2012) we couldn't get over how crowded it was compared to our previous August visits. On saying that, it's my favourite time of year to go as I love the long evenings and (fingers crossed here!) good weather and think that outweighs the crowds and queues but I bet I'm in the minority!

You could always go and have a 'take-it-easy' trip for a few days instead of doing too many rides. Book a nice meal for your birthday, do some character hunting, swim in the pool...

because of Dreams, you get the late evenings (and this year good weather) in April May and June, as well as in high summer season, nowadays at DLP :).

Late evenings are no good for us as my kids go to bed by 9pm. And they get up by 7am. We did't stay for Dreams not once this year!
I love the crowds in spring and if we avoid weekends... but a birthday trip would be nice. I plan to book either HNY or go for DLH and not stay for tge weekend. So we won't be going next year and do some savings for a nice birthday trip. And it's in August... I guess it will be a prebirthday trip.
