We will be going to Paris for spring break ,4/5/12-4/9/12, and my husband just informed me that he would like to go to DLP for 1 day. If you had to do it in 1 day which attractions, rides, meals, parades would be a MUST for you day?

In October 2010 i went for a day trip with my mum, we were there at the Park opening and went straight to queue for Big Thunder Mountain. It usually has a long queue so it's worth to try and go there first thing in the morning.
Another must do is Phantom Manor, another place that can have a long queue and so worth to be there early.
Same for Pirates of the Caribbean.
Peter Pan's flight, Mad Hutter's teacups in Fantasyland, Star Tour and Space Mountains if you like rollercoasters.

Around midday we changed to Walt Diseny World and had a look at the queues for Tower of Terror. As it was not too bad i queued for it (my mum waited outside and i was lucky enough because one lift had a spare sit and i was the only *lonely* one in the queue..) and then had some luch. After lunch we queued for Parachute Drops (long and slow queue) and then had a walk aorund. If you like rollercoasters both Nemo and Rock and Roller Coaster are a must do but Nemo can have long long queues.
Back to the main park for the Parade, tried to get on the Railway but we had to wait too long and so skipped it and went for a walk in the shops instead.

My advice is take it easy anyway, you can't go on every ride and see any show in one day so just have fun around and don't get stressed :cheer2:

giouly09 thank-you for your response. we have been to WDW twice and absolutely loved it but we had a total of 5 days there each time. DLP planning is different for me this time around since I am not too familiar with it. We have a DD7and DS10 so we will be doing a combo of the roller coasters and easier rides. Now to decide on which parade.

Don't forget that you are going to get longer hours as of April so you will be able to see much more than if you were going this month.

I'd advise you to go on the Friday as the weekend is always mad at DLP and then you have Easter Monday so it's a long weekend

The park is open from 10.00 - 22.30 and the Studios from 10.00-19.00 on the 7th so you can plan for both parades plus the Dreams show in the evening :thumbsup2

Theres only one real daily parade at DLP, the Once Upon a Dream Parade, at 5pm each day.

The Cars n Stars parade really doesn't count anymore, it used to be fabulous but now its just a drive-past with no dancers/characters in the route in front of the cars etc.

In April you'll also have the Dreams light show on the castle, in the evening.

since the park closes later in april can anyone tell me how late the RER runs back into paris in the evening?

You got trains until late - the last one is at 00h20 and gets to Chatelet -Les Halles at 01h01

Before that from 22h30 on you've got 22h46-23h01-23h16-23h46-00h00 and it takes 41 mins to Chatelet-Les Halles.

Where are you staying as you'd have to check your metro connection :)

thank-you carrie cat. we have been trying to find the RER and metro times tables with no luck. we are in between 2 metro stops CHARLES MICHELS and Bir-Hakeim. can you tell me what time the latest metro runs till?

Ok you want to be changing onto line 6 for Bir-Hakeim or onto line 10 for Charles Michel. At that time of night line 10 can be very slow so I'll give you directions to Bir-Hakeim.

From MLV-Chessy go straight to Charles de Gaulle-Etoile with the A (it's an extra 5 mins) and then change onto line 6 and it's 5 stops to Bir-Hakeim.

Last metro on line 6 leaving CDG-Etoile (direction Nation) is at 00h41

If you were late leaving Disney and missed your connection a taxi from CDG-Etoile wouldn't be too expensive around 10-15€ :)

The first time we went, we did the full park in one day. It was feb though, and no lines anywere.

I would definetly do the Disneyland park and not the studio's. Go for the parades and shows first. On the end of main street there is an board where the waiting lines are displayed. The biggest attraction is buzz lightyear's laserblast but if your smart your should go early and get fastpasses everywhere. You must be able to do most big attractions in one day!

Oh and you could do dinner in the village after the parks close that would give you more time in the park itself!
