Just came back from 6 days at DLP, where I run the half marathon on Sunday.
Highs
The weater has been absolutely amazing. Perfect temperatures to run and to visit the parks.
Part of the parks already restored look very good and this is promising for next year when everything should be finished.
The marathon event went well overall. A lot of fun and a lot of people in costumes and with such a great attitude that make this kind of events so fun. I'll certainly run it again next year.
Pork ribs at Cowboy Cookout BBQ.
Mickey and the magicians: great show, I enjoyed it a lot.
Kyriad hotel at Torcy: very cheap but convenient being 3-4 minutes walk from the RER station. Already booked for December.
Lows
The park is currently very sad with all the closed attractions.
The marathon course was nice at the beginning and the end, running in the parks and in the hotels and village. But it was very boring in between.
Also, I've not noticed a lot of spectators. I guess it's because it's still the first year, but a part a few notable exceptions, not many people cheering on the course. A strong contrast with the marathon in WDW.
My knee: I was going quite well (for my standard) in the first half, but then a pain the the knee appeared around the 10°km and then I had to do all the second half walking. I still feel pain today, I hope I've not injured myself. Not a good sign for the training for the marathon in January.
Overall I had a great time.
