I will be in Paris with my kids during Xmas break and was thinking of going to DLP. Never been. traveling from USA
Worth going to DLP? Will be there with 4 kids ages 5-15

Can we go for the day?
Will the lines be crazy?

Any tips?

Yes you can go for the day.
Others who have been at this time of year will be able to help with details regarding how busy the queues are :)

Have a look at the trip report index for past visits to give you a feel for what to expect :goodvibes

Thinking about where to eat will also be a consideration as many of the table service restaurants have special menus over Xmas :)

It can be done in a day if you're there early. It will likely be busy but you'll still get plenty done.

Does anyone know: does the RER operate completely normally on December 25? Or is there a Sunday service on the RER?

Or (gasp) is it not operating at all on Christmas Day?

If anyone has any solid experience on this please do let us know. Thanks!

The RER runs on a holiday schedule; you can download the timetable at ratp.fr

The Sunday schedule is really not bad; I often take the RER to DLRP on a Sunday and don't have to wait very long

The only caution as always is that this is barring any labour disruptions. There was talk of a potential Air France disruption for the holiday season and efforts being made to prevent any disruption on the SNCF/metro/RER lines for the holiday season.
