DLP Engraved Paving Stone

On our last DLP trip in Oct 2001 we paid for a personailsed/engraved paving stone on Disney Promenade, which was laid Jan 2002 in Fantasia Gardens. Haven't managed to get back to DLP since so looking forward to seeing it for the first time when we go there in two months time, all going well.

Who else among you DIS Dis folks has also got one of these paving stones? What size are they - can't remember, are they 12" or something? Were you pleased with yours when you saw it? Any photos?

We have one in Studios as well but we've never been able to find it - think they forgot - it was buy one get one free so we are not that bothered, be nice if we could see it though!

12" sounds about right, possibly a bit smaller, maybe 9"?

Oh you are so lucky! I am like Reid, by the time I had discovered this I emailed them but they said they had stopped selling them "for the moment". Please please please let them resume!

My family are all nuts and spend ages each visit looking for Mickey Mouse's. We always forget to write down before we go where his is! I spotted some slabs on a drain cover that were plain, come on DLRP, I'd even be willing to have my name over a drain!

Thanks dlpsteve, Your engraved paving slab is Where is yours located? Ours is in zone 20 Fantasia Garden, can't wait to see it. Was yours quite easy to find from the layout they give you?

Re: your slab in WDS park did you receive a letter and certificate notifying you that it had been laid, and its location? When you couldn't find it were you able to find out anything from City Hall, guest relations or whereever you find out these things from?

If you have a location for it l could try and have a look for it (and take a photo for you) when we go to DLP at the beginning of March, in case it has been laid recently (hopefully they would let you know).

Not sure what zone number is but it's in front of the garden area that has Mickey mouse in flowers - about 3 yards from the bottom. In the photo below, if Denise walked forward and to the right a little to her right she'd see it We found it pretty easily from the map they sent.

We received the confirmation about the Disneyland Park one but we never heard anything about the Studios one - since then I've managed to lose the receipt! We only ever intended to get a Disneyland Park one and we paid no more for the Studios one so we haven't bothered to take it any further.

I would love to have a slab at DLP........ but......... There's something morbid about having your name set in stone, sends a chill down my spine!!!

I've got a Studios One, I love seeing it.

I think they last for 10 years, so everyone might get a chance in the future
