Going to paris. One day at Disney. Just one. :(.

I am huge Disney fan. Never been to paris. We will have a VIP fast pass :).

I have prioritized which rides etc. we will be there at opening. I have two girls 15/10. Meals are so expensive there. The girls would like to see characters, although not a deal breaker. What one meal would you go to and why? We will eat counter service for the other.

Thanks

Hello Fellow Texan,

I lived in Turkey for several years and had an annual pass - made a few trips. I love Disneyland Paris - hope you have a great trip! The imagineers have done a beautiful job with Disneyland Paris IMO - many attractions are top notch.

As far as meals go - the first trip I made I ate counter service and was really not satisfied with the food/cost value. Two counter service meals were around 25 euro and the food was not very satisfying.

The second trip, I took advice from the veterans here on the boards and ate heartily at breakfast which was included in my room rate and then ate again a late lunch at a table service buffet at the park. I had some snacks with me for in between times. I spent about the same amount and the food was FAR better. So I would definitely recommend the table service options - the buffets are more affordable - Plaza Gardens at Disneyland Park, Agrabah at Disneyland ParK, and Rendevous des Stars at the Studios.

My next trip I think I'll be adding Walt's Cafe, and Remy's Bistro to the list of buffets.

I might skip counter service all together but Earl Of Sandwich at the village will likely be on my list.

Thanks for the reply! Funny to hear from another Texan when we are discussing Paris. My DH wants to just make things quick and so counter service. I want to experience a meal with characters as that is an experience in itself. So the thought process continues. :).

Did you enjoy Plaza Gardens? It gets mixed reviews but I had not looked there before your reply and now seems like a good option.
