DLP addon to London/Paris ABD?

My wife and I are planning on going to the London/Paris ADP in 2025. ABD offered a 2 or 3 or 4 night add-on to DLP (all transportation included w/ hoppers and stay at a Disney hotel). We're long time DVC and I never had any real desire to visit international parks, BUT, what the heck? If I'm there, should I add-on DLP? Anyone ever do the add-on? I'm tempted......

Any thoughts are appreciated.

No need to do the over priced add on. Head over to the Disneyland Paris section on here and we can give you all the help you need to just book it yourself direct with Disney.

Just so you know, when you book direct with Disneyland Paris, the standard package on the website is a hotel and park hopper tickets. You get tickets for your arrival day, departure day and all days in between. Theres no need to stay at the over priced Disneyland Hotel, they have 5 other onsite hotels in different price ranges, all walkable to the park. I did a multi generation trip in October 2023, onsite at Santa Fe Hotel, with the meal plan. All onsite hotel guests can book restaurants up to 1 year in advance. All onsite hotel guests can get the early opening perk.

I haven't done the AbD trip or add-on, but I would highly recommend Disneyland Paris. They have enough unique rides, shops, and themes to justify at least two days in the parks. Park hopping is easy, just like Disneyland in California. I haven't seen the cost of the actual add-on, but getting from the city center to the parks and parks to the airport are both easy with trains. I would also avoid the full board meal plan, it's way too much food.

I did the add on, but it was slightly different when I did it (two years ago).

We stayed at the Marvel Hotel. However, we didn't have any meals provided (it wasn't even an option as far as I remember). We ended up just getting quick service or eating in Disney Village (Downtown disney equivalent).

I do agree that the full board looks like way too much food. I am not sure if you could select a smaller meal plan or no meal plan at all now.

Really, the only main advantage is that the transportation to Disneyland and from Disneyland to the airport is included, so you don't have to worry about that. The transportation was pretty nice.

When we priced it out, the difference was pretty small, and I felt it was worth the cost. However, I don't know what it is now, especially with the meal plan, and how that works out.

The marvel hotel was really nice, recommend it if you are a marvel fan.

More than a third (close to a half) of the families on my tour did the addon (or at least went to disneyland after the tour was over), so no matter how you decide to go, I would definitely recommend it.

Please note that the Premier Access is not included. Before I went, the fastpass was included (if I remember correctly, it was unlimited fastpasses with no return time), but when they switched to premier access, they no longer provide it. Since premier access can be $100 per person depending on time of year, if you want to use that, keep that in mind.

I would totally take advantage of already being in Europe and going to DLP! I did just that a couple of years ago-was in Paris with a friend and we decided to take a day to go to DLP, because why not?

I think it's worth doing Disneyland Paris. I wouldn't allocate a ton of days to it (2 would likely be plenty) but it's different enough to be worth seeing, especially since it's so easy to get to from Paris. When I did the London/Paris ABD, I did it with the DIS Unplugged (one of the first ever Travel Agent exclusive trips that ABD did) and they negotiated to have the DLP add-on included as a part of the ABD. So we all did it. So I really can't comment on it cost-wise. It was nice because the transportation, some meals and fastpasses were included, but DLP is one of the foreign parks that, from what I've seen and heard, is pretty easy to do on your own. The train really couldn't be more convenient to the Park. I say go for it!

Sayhello

I'd price it out both ways and see what makes sense for you. Super easy to get to DLP from Paris, so that transportation isn't a big deal. (We were staying out at DLP and went into Paris a few times, and the train worked great.) Also, we just set up our own car to the airport from DLP and that was very easy too. (Don't remember how much, but not terrible.)

I'd go see it, for sure, if you are a park person.

We have done the ABD add on and really enjoyed the experience. The park itself is beautiful. Having the add on tied to your ABD trip eliminates a lot of extra work on your part since transfers, including luggage handling, from Paris to the park AND from DLP to the airport are all part of the deal.

Wow, thanks for all the great responses. Great insight. To be more exact, my wife and I booked the Oct 2025 London/Paris adult exclusive trip. Why book a year in advance? We just finished (last week) our first ABD trip (Rome/Florence/Venice) and took advantage of the bounce back saving ($250 per person, not much but we are ABD fans now). Anyway, the DLP add on costs won't be released to me until the new year. I'm just doing my usual obsessive planning and you guys have helped. I'll crunch the numbers but I do like the "white glove treatment". BTW, I had very high expectations for the Italy trip and Disney knocked it out of the park. Yes, ADB is more costly than other tours (that's what I heard) but OMG, the "Disney difference" was so evident. So proud of this product.

(I should really write a trip report).

Thanks!

I did the DLP add-on through ABD when I did London/Pairs, but that was in 2014, so a lot has changed between then and now. It was worth it to me b/c it was my first solo international trip, and having everything included (transportation, hotel - Hotel New York at the time, breakfast) was a lifesaver. It also included the VIP fastpass, which was worth its weight in gold.

I have since done 2 additional trips to DLP pre-stay before the DCL Med cruise in 2018 and before the ABD Seine River Cruise in 2019. Both of those I booked on my own. I did a 4-night stay at Hotel Cheyenne and a 2-night at Hotel Santa Fe. I would not do 4 nights again, it was too long (but it was a 4 nights for the price of 2 deal that I just couldn't pass up). And I would not pay the upcharge for Cheyenne vs. Santa Fe in the future.

So my opinion may vary. I did DLP as an add on at the end of the ABD in 2019 and then went back this August (after doing London on my own). I stayed at the DL hotel both times. I've stayed at every hotel at both DL and WDW and without a doubt the DLP hotel is better than any of the US resorts. When I did the add on the equivalent of the premier pass was included and we got the ground transfers to the hotel. The entrance to the park is 100 feet from the hotel exit, you don't have to go through security again. There are two character meals ( Royal Mickey and friends) and a Royal gathering with 3 princesses and princes which are restricted to guests of the DLP hotel. If you are paying the money and enjoy the ABD experience like my family does, a DLP resort add on is the best way to cap off a vacation. 2 nights is good
