Can you get room service in the standard rooms at the DLH?

Still planning our meals (not because I am super excited; even though I am; but because I am trying desperately to budget) and hubby says he would rather not run into the Village for EoS at nearly 10pm. So he has asked if we could get room service.

If we can; is it expensive (stupid question! :rotfl: )

Yes they have room service in the standard rooms and yes it is pretty expensive!

We have been tempted a few times after a long day but the prices have always put us off and we have gone for McDonald's or, more recently, EOS.

I can't remember exactly how much the room service is but I recall a cheeseburger with chips being around 25 euros, I could be wrong about that of course.

Great thread we go on Thursday and will b having early night as out boys are only 1 and 2 years old so we will most likely b ordering some room service!

Thanks!

I may be sending hubby to Annettes if it is 25e for a burger and fries!

Anyone know if you can still get room service in the HNY? I remember ordering it there years ago but had forgotten all about until I read this thread.

It's true that room service at the Disneyland Hotel is expensive, but it is a fantastic experience! They bring everything that you could expect from a restaurant to your room and decorate your table in minutes into a full fledged restaurant table with table cloth and table napkins and a little board with spices, sauces etc., everything exactly like in the restaurants below.

We had it a few times and always were amazed by the service. We had room service at the Hotel New York once, but it was much less spectacular (might have been just badluck though), they just brought us our food more or less.

I'm sure i took a picture of the current prices during our stay last week, so if you're interested in prices and items on the menu I could post that.

Yes you can ::yes::

I think I put a pic of the room service menu on the hotel thread from last year. It hadn't changed when we were there in July this year. It's a bit limited in choice and not the cheapest, but DH had a pizza and said it was very good. :)

Did they also prepare the table with table cloth, table napkins etc., like at the Disneyland Hotel?

Wow! Okay - I may be tempted!! ;-) It would be great if you have a current menu/prices; would love you to post it!

Thanks

I'm at the HNY right now :) - yes you can get room service - we ordered a pizza last night, it was 20.99 euros, it was large, about 10'' l think, worth it after coming back from seeing dreams :cloud9: & huge queues at McDonalds, EoS & everywhere else.

I'll take a photo of the current room service menu in a min & upload it when l get back.

I'm sure you can.

Oh good, thanks! :)

That's how I remember it, just the food no extras.

I think we had a reasonable choice back then, this was well over 10 years ago, although I remember being very impressed by my youngest who was only about 5 at the time responding to his starter when it arrived by saying, "This isn't crudités (which he had ordered), it's just a green salad!" Made us sound far more sophisticated than we really are! :rotfl2:

Sadly not! :rolleyes2
