Does anyone know if there are bathrooms around the pool (without having to go back in the hotel)... how about showers and towels? One last ques... current hours?

TIA!! I can't wait!!:cool1:

I know that there are bathrooms at the GCH pool, and towels, but I am not sure about showers. I would think that the DLH pool has bathrooms and towels too, most hotels keep them at the pool now.

Yes, there are bathrooms close by. I believe towels are offered at the pool. As for showers and hours, I have no idea, sorry.

There are towels, life vests for little ones and bathrooms located by Hook's Point, right next to pool. There also is one shower right next to the hot tub, but never saw anyone use it in the 5 days we were there since it is out in the open. If I rememer correctly the pool was open from 10-9, but not 100% sure since we only used it during the middle of teh day to cool off.

Also, in order to use the big water slide, children must be able to swim on their own without the aid of a life vest. The depth of the pool is 4' everywhere.

Bathrooms are located right under Hook's Pointe. The towel trolly is located on the side adjacent to the main tower (name escapes me right now, but it's where you check in).

i thought a kid could go on the slide with a life jacket or with a parent by the slide waiting..My son dosent swim offtin enough but every time he dose he has his swim suite that keeps him aflote

Nope! We stayed at the Grand about two years ago and my niece wasn't yet a good swimmer. She had the vest on and we climbed up to go down the slide and the guard said, nope! Sorry!

Hours in June were: 9:00 a.m. to 10:00 p.m. They deactivate the gate so that you cannot enter other than those hours. The quiet, cove pool hours were 9:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m. Slide hours at the DLH Neverland pool (I think) were 9:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m.

As others have said the bathrooms are by Hook's Pointe, there are also bathrooms by the quiet pool, next to the laundry room. The workout room is also near there and I believe there are showers inside that area. But I didn't check for sure.

And I can also verify that you must be able to swim to go down the slide. They don't let anyone be in the area where the slide feeds out to catch them. There is a smaller (much smaller) slide for little kids that parents can be near to catch the kids and I think they can wear a vest on that one. Its about 5 feet long at most, great for toddlers.

There are also towels at the quiet pool.

There is a huge slide at the DLH as well, and its pretty much Disney policy at all their resorts (Disneyland and WDW) that to go down the slide you must be able to swim. So no life vests and no catching. Mostly because there is almost a mini whirpool current at the end of that slide so it takes some strength to be able to swim out of that.

ok but there is the 5ft one right..i mean if he cant go on big one i totaly understand its for the safty of my son and i understand

If you scroll down to the arial shot of the Neverland Pool, you'll see the much smaller slide, very near the ship. I am not sure if its five feet but its very short! When we were there a few years ago, my little nieces were able to go down that shorter slide with their vests on and I caught them. And I am about 99% sure I saw people doing that same thing last month. You can also see in that shot how long the other slide is. One of the reasons you need to be able to swim is that you need to be able to get out of the way before the next kid comes careening down the slide. This other slide is so much shorter, the kids can if its all clear before they go down.

The one is VERY small and you can catch kids even in a vest. The larger one they must be able to swim and you cannot be beyond the rope to catch them. No vests period. The slide dumps out to a four foot deep pool.
