Are people still swimming in the DLH pool in early March? We're from Canada, so our levels of "cold" are different... just wondering :confused3

Also, if we decide not to splurge on DLH, can you slip into the pool if you book a character breakfast there? I know you're not supposed to, but do they check the day visitors?

We're here right now and it's freezing (low 40's at night) and there are people in the pool and hot tub all day long. It is obviously heated although I am not adventurous enough to try it out.

You would not be able to "slip in" the pool is surrounded by a fence and you need a room card to access it.

We were there last week. My kids are still mad at me for not letting them swim like the others. (brrr!) But, Id say on a good day (like our last day there) it would be fine. Your run back to the room might get chilly though! We were laying out there in the sun and feeling great, but didnt swim as we had a flight to catch in two hours.

It depends on the weather. We went swimming on Christmas day here and giggled so about it. Two years ago it had snowed so much we had to shovel our way out of the front door.

When we came down from Alaska my son and I went swimming in November. Its a cold were here now, but if it was sunny and warmer it would be fine for swimming for us.

Not to say that people dont look at us funny sometimes. :teeth:

I have swam at the DLH pool in the months of December, January, February and had a ball! They keep the pools nice and warm, the worst part is when you get out. Make sure to have something nice and dry to put on over your suit. And no you cannot use the pool if you don't stay there. In addition to the large, secured fence around it, that is not considered an honest thing to do. The people paying the bucks to stay there are paying for that pool, its lifeguards, maintainence and towels. Also, I did see a family ousted once who wasn't staying there. I can't think of anything more embarrassing frankly!

We've been to WDW in November. We wore shorts the whole time and enjoyed the emptier waterparks. The only people swimming at the waterparks were either from Canada or Great Britain. The locals definitely thought we were crazy :teeth:

Okay...a bit OT...but how about the first week of June? DS usually likes to hit the pool on vacation...and silly me from the midwest thinks that southern California is always sunny and warm...boy have the temps I'm seeing these days been a shock!
