We've decided to upgrade our hotel for our June vacation. :cool1: I'm having a hard time deciding between DLH and PPH. Both seem to have good and bad things. So, since I'm a bit stuck, here are just a few of the questions that I have and I hope you can all help with so that I can finally make a decision. :cheer2:

1. Is there really a huge difference is the walking distance between the two hotels?
2. Is the DLH pool really that much better?
3. Does one hotel have more comfortable beds?

I have tons of questions and I know you guys have tons on answers. So any thoughts you may have will be extremely helpful. Thanks in advance for all your advice.

1. No
2. Yes
3. No

We prefer PPH to DLH, I think.

1. Is there really a huge difference is the walking distance between the two hotels? No, there is not a huge difference in walking distance. The DLH is closer to the DTD monorail station, and the PPH is a slightly shorter walk to the front gates of Disneyland (taking the short cut through the Grand Californian Hotel) and also a little closer to the private entrance of California Adventure Park (located in the Grand Californian.) But the difference in walking time is minimal.
2. Is the DLH pool really that much better? It is much more elaborately themed and has a huge hot tub. However, the PPH pool area is cute and a little more conducive for families with children who aren't strong swimmers. (The PPH has the longest water slide on property, but non-swimmers ARE allowed to use it because it dumps riders into a catch trough rather than into the pool. It is the only slide on property that non-swimmers are allowed to use.)
3. Does one hotel have more comfortable beds? Not that I remember. I thought both properties had very comfortable beds and nice large rooms.

1. Agree with both previous posters...

2. We love the DLH Neverland Themed Pool. My grandchildren are 1 1/2 and 3 (both non-swimmers) They had a fantastic time there. However, they could not go down the larger ship enclosed slide with life jackets (provided at the pool), but could go down a smaller slide which they loved! Also the grounds around the DLH are beautiful...they loved the koi ponds, waterfall area and the hand controlled motorized boats.

3. Again agree with both previous posters...

Our favorite is the DLH.
