We can get an AP rate of $119 @ DLH or $79 @ PP the first week in March, which would you recommend? It'll be two adults and a 4 and a half year old. Thanks!

<font color=navy>That's a pretty good savings by staying at the Paradise Pier. The PP is undergoing renovation right now, and should be done in April/May. You'll probably get one of the renovated rooms, which will have more of that Disney theming. The PP has its own entranced to California Adventure.

Advantages to staying at the Disneyland Hotel. The rooms have sliding doors that open out onto a railed ledge, which is nice. The grounds are pleasant, with waterfalls, a koi pond, dancing fountains at night, a Neverland themed swimming pool...

If $ is an issue, then enjoy the PP Hotel and use your money for souvenirs, nice meals, however, I think the Disneyland Hotel is nicer, for the children especially.

Thanks Mary Jo! Would you happen to know which floors they're renovating at PP right now?

No, but what I was told was that they were renovating a floor at a time, and guests wouldn't be put on that floor, which is nice.

If you stay at the Paradise Pier, you have an option of getting a room that faces west - to the city, or east, overlooking California Adventure. Your little one might like looking at the fun attractions through the window.

If you are staying at PP, you can still use the neverland pool at DLH. It wouldn't be as convienient, but I would rather walk a little further to the pool and save the $$ for other things!

I attended a class at Disneyland in January. We were told that they wouldn't be using the renovated rooms until ALL rooms were completed, So the new rooms were being taken out of inventory until all the rooms were renovated or being renovated. By the way, we were shown both rooms and the renovated rooms are Gorgeous. I'll be curious to see if the rates will go up after the renovation is completed.
