I'd love to hear about the amenities offered when staying in a Concierge Level room at DLH! Is the breakfast offered early enough to grab a bite before heading out on EE days in the summer? What else is available besides the breakfast (and what kinds of foods are served at breakfast)?

Thanks for sharing!:flower3:

We stayed concierge for the first time last month and absolutely loved it. I believe the lounge opened at 6:30 am. Summer ee would be at 7am, so you could still grab some breakfast and eat it while you head to the park. There were paclakged cereal bowls, croissants, danishes, muffins, bagels, fruits, granola bars, oatmeal, yogurt(on request), milk, coffe, tea, hot chocolate and sodas. For lunch there were pbj uncrustable sandwhiches, fruits, bagged chips, goldfish crackers and drinks. For wine and cheese hour, there was cheese, crackers, chips & salsa, a hot appetizer(chicken skewers, curry dumplings, empanadas, gyoza, crab cakes were some that we had) wine, beer and other drinks. For dessert hour, there were cookies, cupcakes, chocolate fudge and drinks. They pipe in the music for the fireworks and we watched it from the lounge one night. We also borrowed dvds to watch and the kids were able to access the internet from the computer in the lounge as well. The staff was friendly and helpful. They managed to get us reservations at cafe Orleans when disney dining said there were none available. We were lucky enough to get the AP4 rate for this trip and it was our best trip yet. If we could get similar rates in the future, we'll be staying there again with concierge.

Sounds wonderful! I didn't realize they have lunch and dessert, too. So are snacks (or meals) available all throughout the day?

It's expensive, but when I break down the extra charge and look at it per person per day, it sounds like we could save a lot on meals by eating their offerings throughout the day and evening. Is soda and bottled water also available all day long?

When we stayed at DLH last summer we had the concierge elevator right next to our balcony. Can concierge guests take this elevator to get to their rooms, or does it just lead to the lounge? Is the concierge level all on one floor of the Sierra tower, or is it on more than one floor and/or in the other towers, too?

Thanks so much for sharing your experiences! I love this board.

Some form of a snack is available throughout the day. Regarding the wine and cheese hour though, there's only one hot appetizer out each evening. You can also request your wine or beer to be put in a plastic cup so that you can take it back to your room.

Is soda and bottled water also available all day long?Yes, soda, apple juice, bottled water, coffee, tea, and hot chocolate are available all day long. We did need to request milk though. Concierge saved us a bit of money on our trip, regarding our food budget. It was also nice that the kids had a healthy snack available to them(fruits & yogurt).

It just leads to the lounge. You can leave the lounge and use the hotel elevator if your room is in the same building, the sierra/dreams tower. We were lucky in that our room was one floor below the concierge lounge so we always made a stop at the lounge before & after the park.Is the concierge level all on one floor of the Sierra/dreams tower, or is it on more than one floor and/or in the other towers, too?Unfortunately, the concierge lounge is only in the sierra/dreams tower and on the 11th floor. It does have a great view of downtown disney though. We'd have breakfast each morning and watch the place slowly wake up.

Dh was so spoiled, he can't see staying onsite now without doing concierge.

I saw on one of the responses that the kids were able to access the internet and play games. Does this mean there are computers will full internet access so that I can check email??? Thanks!!

Yes, there's one computer in the lounge available to concierge guests that had full internet access. We brought dh's laptop with us, so ds only used the computer when he got bored waiting for us in the lounge.

I'm so excited about this news!! We just booked DLH concierge yesterday (for our trip Nov 10 - 17). After being told a few days ago (by vacation planning) that I could not upgrade to concierge because the hotel was sold out, I called the front desk just to check again, in case anyone cancelled. They put me through to Robert (the room assignor) who made it happen for me! Unfortunately the only room available had two double beds instead of two queens (no wonder it was the only one available!). We took it anyway, and hopefully something better will open up by the time we arrive. DH is all worried that if our room only has two double beds that must mean that it is smaller than other rooms, and probably not as nice. It's too bad that we have to compromise on the room while paying extra $$$$$ to get concierge. Oh, well, I told him not to fret about it. We'll be in Disneyland every day :woohoo: and merely crashing in the room at night!

I'm so glad we can grab some water at the lounge in the morning istead of buying it at the park - and also grab some healthy snacks (fruit) for the day.

2 more sleeps for us!!! :cheer2:

I think we had that double concierge room! If so it is verrrrrry small in a double entry that you need key access to a main double door, and then to your room door (as if they turned old suites into two tiny rooms). But like you, I figured we were only there to sleep and that was the case! Had we not been in a hurry to hit the park we would have maybe requested a different room but we were off and running from the get go.

Honestly one of my favorite perks of the whole concierge level is the priority checkin. We saved probably an hour or more by cutting to the front of the line. Time is money baby!

The more important consideration, if you have any choice at all, is to get a room on the same floor as the lounge regardless of the size or view. That way you can take the lounge elevator to and from and don't have to get on ANOTHER elevator or take the stairs to get to your room...we also didn't luck out on that regard. But that would have been preferential to the size of the beds or the view for me. HAVE FUN!!
