We're checking in on Thursday for a 3 night stay. I was wondering if anyone had an opinion on which tower/location of room to request - with the current construction, etc., maybe things have changed.

Also looking for some new food experiences ...

Thanks ahead of time!

Just got back from a 2-night stay. We had a standard room at ap rate of $149 and requested the Dreams Tower, renovated room. We got a lovely newly refurbished room on the 3rd floor with pool view. There was no construction noise, but you had to go in/out on the far side of the tower and they did not offer coffee in the tower's lobby since it is currently off limits. The free coffee was still in the main tower but of course that is less convenient (especially in the rain).

So...big thumbs up :thumbsup2 for the room, but the location is no longer as convenient since you have to go around the building to get to the main lobby and DTD area.

Is the lobby off limits because of the room renovation or because they currently are working on the lobby area?
I just requested (ok, trip is not until May) Dream tower referbed room but am not liking the idea of no coffee. I know pickey, pickey pickey :lmao:

There is still a small lobby, but it isn't the main one where the coffee was normally served in the past. For some reason, they aren't using the small lobby for coffee service. The elevators for the refurbished rooms are on this side so the current lobby is that smaller area where the elevators for that end of the tower are (opposite side from the main lobby and Sorcerer's Hat). The main doors are blocked off due to the construction so I guess they don't want to go all the way down and around the building with the coffee urns?

By May they may have the main lobby in Dreams open again. If not, you can always walk over to the main lobby in Magic (it's not really that far) or make your own in your room. They provide a small pot (about 2-4 cup size). If you like cream, put some in a to-go cup from the main lobby and keep it in your room fridge and while you're at it, bring some cups & lids with you so you can take your coffee with you when you go to the park! It'll save you some $$$.
