Trying to find a decent price on a 2n/3d package for my dd(20) and I, 31May-02June. We really want to stay at DLH, standard room is fine. I have spent many hours scouring these boards and also looking at a variety of sites in US, UK, and Fr versions. I am looking at both pkgs and ala carte room pricing. I would really like to find the room price at or under $400/374eu/319pounds per night.

In looking at packages,I am using the following subtractions:
Tickets (3d for 2p): $260/243EU/404pounds
Half board (2d for 2p): $253.56/236.14EU/202pounds
Breakfast only (2d/2p): $32/30EU/25.5pounds

Does this seem correct?
All sites I am checking seem to be coming in around $500-$600 per night when adjusted. I thought my price range was reasonable, but maybe I am completely unrealistic??

Would appreciate advice.

To be honest with you, as pretty as it looks from the outside (and the lobby - haven't been in the rooms itself only checked it out when visiting their store), the hotel is just very expensive and overpriced. It's worth it as a one time experience, but it's more expensive then similar hotels are.

What I'm trying to explain is that while your price expectation is normally reasonable, for DLH the prices that you actually found are the going rate. (Unless you have a DLP annual pass, which can give you a 10-35% discount)

Im not sure where you are getting your pricing from but the half board will include breakfast won't it? Is that price to upgrade to a different breakfast.
All package prices include tickets for the number of days you are there including arrival and departure day and very rarely does it work out cheaper booking room only and buying tickets separately.
Even if you have an annual pass it can often work out cheaper getting a package as room only does not take advantage of any special offers and the annual pass rate is only on some hotels for some nights so may be a very low discount.

You are also looking at an expensive week as the last week in May is a holiday for all UK schools including a bank holiday on the Monday of that week so it can be a busy week.

Have you priced up any other of the hotels? DLH is nice but is more convenient than anything - Hotel New York and Sequoia Lodge are both equally nice in my opinion and only about 10/15 min walk which is a pleasant stroll through Disney Village

I've just had a quick look and it's coming up around £1500 for your dates including a free premium meal plan and tickets. That really seems par for the course given I think it is UK half term at that time- is there any possibility to go a few days later? This would bring the cost down to £1000 or so which is much lower, and would fall in line with your budget.

The premium meal plan is really good to have included and included character dining at Auberge de Cendrillon (princesses) and Inventions (Mickey and gang). These normally cost between €65-75 per person if I remember correctly.

Alternatively, if you can make a later date, between the 4th and the 6th June for around £1000 you could get a suite in Newport Bay which is a beautiful hotel, and the huge plus is that you would get VIP FastPasses (meaning you can use FastPass entrances as many times as you like). That includes a buffet breakfast, lunch or dinner, and unlimited drinks and snacks in the Compass Club lounge too. Worth considering!
