DL Trip first week of May...

I researched and book our family trip to DL for May 1-8 six months ago. We are staying at the DLH in a two bedroom suite and have everything set for an amazing week. My girlfriend just told me that her sister was trying to book a vacation there at the same time and that everything is booked. She said that there is a cheerleading competition or a band competition and that DL would have large crowds. I picked this time cause all the bboks etc said it was a slower time. I have google anaheim convention center and found nothing. Does anyone have any other ideas on how to search for major events in anaheim or does anyone know what is going on there at that time? I just have to know before we get there if it's going to be insane.

I know that the DECA conference is supposed to be huge, it's 4/29-5/1. There is also the Bats event 5/1-3 which brings big crowds, primary in the parks on the 3rd. Other than that, I'm not aware of anything big the 4-9th. (We'll be there May 3-9th).

That said, I just checked availability on Disney's website and DLH rooms are available 5/1-5, but not the 6-8th. PPH and GCH are available for all the dates, however.. Not sure what is happing at DLH on the 6-8th?
