DL tix refund to gift card?

I purchased a one day Disneyland ticket to use at a friends bachelorette party in April 2020. That party, of course, didn’t happen.

We just today booked a few days at WDW in March. I’d love to get the value of my DL ticket refunded to a disney GC to use during my March trip. Do you think this is something a cast member would even consider?

It would have to be a DL transaction. DLR and WDW are two separate businesses. IF DLR would refund in that way (though I'd be surprised), then you could apply the gift card to WDW expenses. But, DL would probably just refund to the original form of payment.

It is worth a try. I recently got a WDW pass refunded to a GC, because it was an Unercover Tourist ticket. That was my only option for a refund so I took it.

Call Disneyland ticketing and explain that you bought a ticket you can no longer use due to Disneyland being closed, with no idea when it will open, and that you will not be able to use the ticket even if they were to open.

I had 2 x 5 day hoppers and got them refunded. I had physical tickets so I had to mail them back before they could issue the refund.

But if you just have the e ticket it’ll probably be easier. I also did mention that we had a Disneyworld trip planned and wanted to use the funds there, which was true. It did take quite some time for them to process the refund though.

Disneyland will only refund the ticket to the original form of payment. So if you didn't purchase the ticket with a gift card, they won't refund the money to a gift card.

A refund to my CC is fine too.... I just figured they’d be more willing to refund to a gift card since it means the money stays within the Disney empire!
