DL Resorts - AP Discounts?

I just booked airfare for the spring 2016. When can I expect to see discounts on rooms? Should I book something now and would they apply a discount later?

How much of a discount do they typically offer?

You should expect no discounts at the onsite hotels. Then if you do find one, you can be pleasantly surprised.

Expect 10% off tops. Can always book now and adjust later. Just undersntand the discount is maybe $20 a night off a $200/nt room. Still going to pony up some dollars.

Most folks can always stay a couple days onsite and a couple days off just to get the onsite experience. Most hotel amenities are open to the public. 90%-95% of the Disney experience can be had with offsite hotel (imho).

Check middle to end of Jan. Generally 10-15% if they have a discount going on. Example, Dec 15-17 is $391 a night plus tax, AP rate is $350 plus tax. Rates may get better in spring when the rebuild starts.

Discounts come into play when a hotel is having difficulties filling their location. The hotels are currently selling out. No reason to offer anyone a discount.

Also make sure to sign up for the Disney Resort emails...I get 20% and 25% off discounts once a quarter usually for the on-site hotels.

I do get "Disney" emails, but where specifically should I sign up for these? Thanks!

I think repeat DLR guests get a special email because I get one every few months with the 20-25% offer. Maybe you could call the hotel directly and ask to be put on the list?
