Hi Gang,

I don`t know if this is the proper forum, but I need some help.We are planning a trip from the east and are staying onsite w/ DVC.We would like to spend a day or two on the ocean beach.

What would you regulars reccommend for a beach near DL on site?

There aren't any beaches on site or in Anaheim, but there are plenty in Orange County. Yes, Huntington is a good one. Also Laguna or Newport are great - beautiful, actually.

don't expect clear water at Cali beaches.. although some spots have more cleaner water than others

There are lots of great beaches in Newport and Laguna Beach. In Laguna I'd recommend Crescent Bay or Shaw's Cove. Both of which are mostly "locals only" beaches so they're much quieter and less touristy than Main Beach. Parking can be a bit tricky (kind of limited), they're both in residential neighborhoods so at least the parking is free! :thumbsup2

Got to agree with u I'd think those two beaches in Laguna r good. I use to like The Newport area, but the last couple of times I've gone my dogs got tar on their pawls. I've never had that problem in Laguna. But like u said parking can be a pain, but it's worth it.
