DL newbie resort/ticket question!

Hi everyone,

I am learning a ton from you all on this board, thank you so much! I priced a package deal, hotel and tickets online for May, and got a price of roughly $2700 with 2 kids. I priced it separate, and got a price of $1000 for DL Hotel, and then I see a promotion ticket price of a 4 day hopper of $219. This is a major difference!! The package would cost us $2700, but separate would be only about $1800. Can this be real? Am I figuring wrong somehow? This is a $900 difference! Can anybody help me out with this?

It's almost always cheaper to book separately.

My experience too.

But be careful with your calcs. Often the package deals include taxes at the quote stage and booking separarely they do not. This can be huge (like 15% or more).

As for park tickets, the package deals seem to always include the tickets at the highest possible price. That is usually where the bulk of the savings come from booking separately in my experience - because you can get discounted tickets.

Check your numbers carefully, but often, as those above said, seperarately can be cheaper. Weird, isn't it?

I do a lot of price checking/ comparing before I book. Whatever is the cheapest option, go for it!
