DL newbie: Getting there from Palm Springs

Hi, I'm a WDW old timer, but I've never been to Disneyland.
I'm going to be at a trade show in Palm Springs in late January, and since I live on the east coast and NEVER get to California, I figured that I have to try to get to DL while I'm there.

According to mapquest it's about 92 miles from Palm Springs to DL. Is there an easy way to get to DL from Palm Springs? What would be the best way to do that? Buses? Shuttles?

I'd rather not rent a car because I'm awful with directions, but if it's the only way I guess I'd do that.

So... Advice anyone?
Is Palm Springs to DL really too far to attempt in one day?

Easy to do in 1 day (not too far), but I would definately rent a car to do it.

You can do it in one day if you start early and plan to return late, but you'd really need to rent a car.
