Just wondering if the meal plan works the same way as the WDW meal plan. W eare only going to be at the DL from Oct 26th evening till check out early on the 29th. So I was told each adult gets 1 character meal , park breakfast, 3 snacks and 2 $10 vouchers and 1 $15 voucher. Can these vouchers be used whenever and however we like. Can we combine them with the other vouchers in our group. For some reason the lady made it seem more confusing then WDW but maybe it was just me. Any info greatly appreciated. Oh and does this actully save you money??

Thanks!!

Thanks I just did a search and found the same info!! Guess we'll just do a character breakfast for sure and I'll look into the other restaurants.

It could be worth it? I just don't have a price on it yet to be certain, one way or the other.

i love it
it works well if you want charcter meals im getting all the ones i wanted and yes you can combine voutchers and it is worth it to me at least

Hey! We're flying out the 24th and doing the parks 25-27 plus doing MToTP on the 28th. I was tipped off a while back to just take money and not buy what they call a dining plan. Dining and Philharmagic are what I'll miss most from WDW. But Mr. Toad makes up for it. I'll be the big hairy guy wearing Donald Duck t's and hats. Plus the watch.

There is no advantage to the DL dining plan like there is at WDW. It's basically just a way to prepay and use vouchers. It gets to be a ripoff, though, because you can't get cash back in change. If you spend a 10 voucher for some snacks that cost you $7.50, you don't get change back. So you might end up just adding something on for 3 bucks to make the difference, and paying some out of your pocket anyway.

Most people prefer to either use cash or credit cards, or budget ahead by getting Disney Dollars or Disney gift cards and designating them for meal use.

yeah you know I would never do the dining plan in DL...wdw is a different story...mainly because when Im there I do one sit down a day pretty much and sometimes none at all...and I eat alot! but still thats so much food I would never eat it...and I rarely do character meals anymore...I guess for someone who doesnt get to go very often or it is their first or 2nd trip and who hasnt really gotten to eat their way around DL yet it might be worth it but for me its not the way to go

I was wondering about that, for I did not have the break down, however, based upon your post Avalon, and others that I have read, I am thinking that the DDP. is not so much one of the best deals available at this time.

well im alone here i like it it works for everything and with the money i had this worked and got me bb and all mycharcter dinners and meals and then snacks and lunch and dinner every night instead of trying to budget 300 for food all together..it really worked out for me and my family and yes wdw plan is way better and next year we are doing that but in dl this works
