Do they have any merchandise at the dog kennels?? My mom is wanting to get some stuff for our pup

I posted asking for info on the kennels a few weeks back and didn't get any responce. Hopefully someone will pop in with some info because I would still like to know some more about them as well.

I may very well be wrong, but it doesn't look like there is merch.

I was hoping to hear reviews from others who have used them. We have a new basset puppy who will be 7months old when we make our next trip, is that old enough to bring her in? Can you make reservations in advance? Would it be a better experience for her if we boarded her somewhere close to home so that she has more attention. I am worried she would be scared being left there for long blocks of time during the day while we were in the parks.

The Disneyland® Kennel Club is available for day use. The cost is $20.00 per pet, per day and reservations are not necessary. No overnight accommodations are available. Please note the Hotels of the Disneyland® Resort do not permit pets.

The Disneyland® Kennel Club and County of Orange requires rabies, distemper, and hepatitis vaccination certificates from your vet in order to board dogs over four months of age. Cats over four months old need proof of vaccination for rabies, distemper, hepatitis, panleulaopenia, rhinotracheitus and calcivirus.

If you live in Marina, why would you take the dog with you?

We are planning a trip in November and only last week changed our plans to not bring our dog. We had originally planned on using the kennels at Disneyland, but for a number of reasons we changed our minds and will be boarding her back home.

The kennels look great and they are taking the proper health precautions. However, due to the number of days we are spending in the parks (8), we ultimately decided she would be happier at our dog-sitters instead of pent up in a crate all day for that many days. We have a wonderful woman near us that breeds Great Danes (which is what our pup is) and plenty of room for them to run. She takes them into her home and it's kind of like Disneyland for dogs. if you could find something like that, that would be ideal. Otherwise, the arrangement at Disneyland isn't that different from a conventional boarding, except that you are required to return to your dog throughout the day to let her go potty, and stretch her legs.

As for her being scared...maybe? Usually by 7 months they have come out of their shells quite a bit but it all depends on your dogs temperament. Our girl is a BIG BABY! Im sure she would be just fine at the DL kennels, but we feel pretty sure that she will be much happier with the other arrangement.

We will miss her though!

Wow thanks for all the awesome replys, especially the link to the disneyland blog which had a video and gave me a much better idea of what the kennels were like. After thinking it over we will probably board her here at home. The cost is quite a bit more to do so (about $150 for the weekend) but they offer all sorts of walks and puppy play time. Im sure she would enjoy that much more than a small kennel and potty breaks every few hours from me and the hubby.
Charlotte is our first puppy and we are just getting used to what we can and can't do with her. Right now while my husband is out of work she has him home with her all day long and is getting constant attention so she is pretty spoiled. When we go to Yosemite for our anniversary in July she will probably be making that trip with us but we have already searched out a nice looking B&B that is pet friendly. Im still just a little hesitant to leave my little baby in the care of someone else I guess haha.
