I know that the weekends are always crazy busy at DL, and that the summer is notorious for being super busy also,
but.... how busy are the weekdays (Tues, Wed, Thurs - which would be known to have the least crowds) be in say July...?

thanks :)

It varies...but probably pretty crowded. If you get there as soon as the park opens, spend the morning, head back to the hotel for a nap/swim/break in the afternoon, and then hit the park again in the evening, it's not bad. You won't be able to do as much as you can during the off season, but you will still have fun!

I agree. I would say busy but manageable - especially if you are smart about your hotel choice and get something within walking distance.

Summer weekdays are my favorite time to visit DLR.

Any days during the summer will be tough, but as long as you stay far away from friday-sunday, it should be, like the others said manageable.

Tuesday and Wednesday are good days.

I have been to the parks on weekdays in late June and mid August and the longest wait time shown (other than Nemo which was ridiculously long) was only like 60 min for Splash or Space or Indy. Saying that, I still didn't wait more than 30 minutes for any ride by arriving early and using FP as much as possible. Many high capacity rides such as Pirates, Jungle Cruise, and Haunted Mansion only had lines about 10-15 minutes. Even some major rides like Tower of Terror and Big Thunder didn't have lines longer than 30 minutes w/o FP.

We will be at Disneyland June 22-24, Sunday-Tuesday and be staying at Tropicana. Any ideas on how to handle Sunday and Monday?

Best bet is to arrive early every day. DL will open at 8AM so try to get there around 7:30. Have a basic morning plan for DL, grab some FP sets and then hop over to DCA for the afternoon or go back to the Tropicana (since it's right there) for a short rest. Then return to DL for the evening. I don't recommend seeing Fantasmic or the fireworks on Sunday because it will be more crowded. If you want to see the Electric Parade, Sunday might be good. However see the fireworks on either Monday or Tuesday and Fantasmic on the other.

Since you will be at the parks 3 days you will get one Magic Morning. You can either use that Magic Morning on Sunday or Tuesday. Either day Magic Morning starts at 7AM. It's a great time to ride some of the rides that usually have long waits with short waits such as Peter Pan, Matterhorn, and Alice in Wonderland.

I would suggest doing a search online for "ridemax" People really seem to rave about how it helps them make the most of their day especially during the very busy times of the year. I am even considering it for my mid--week visit in August of this year. DLR29 also made me feel a little bit better about the potential wait times during the time we are going.

thanks everyone, sounds like it would be a good time, we would stay at the GC, or DL Hotel, so we would easily go back to the hotel in the afternoon.
that is what we always do at WDW also, and at DL it is so much easier!

I love being able to walk everywhere in DL! :)

Ok, I'm wondering if we are in for misery. We have dcl mexican riveria cruise booked 8/3-8/10. Due to flight costs, we weren't able to get tickets home on 8/10, so are flying home tues 8/12. We get off ship sunday in the am, and thought about going over to disneyland...with maybe 2 day tickets for sun/mon. But, it sounds like since we won't be there real early on sunday, our sunday in the park will be miserable? And Monday doesn't have early magic day, so not much better? Anyway to make the most out of our sunday/monday?
