DL in May vs Nov

Opening week of the Holiday season started a full week earlier than ever before last year at DL. It always starts on a Friday. If it is consistent with last year, opening day will be the 12th. The following week is a very good time to go and to avoid opening day. This would be the week before Thanksgiving week. Keep in mind the snow, castle lighting, christmas parade, nightly firworks and Reindeer Roundup will not open or run nightly until opening day. I have been on opening day and all I can say is avoid it with little ones. The days before and the weekdays after are usually great.
