Planning our first trip to DL and I wanted to know if they have Magical Express like WDW has. Debating on renting a car but wanted to make sure I have a ride back and forth to the airport.

Thanks!

No, they do not. There is a Disneyland shuttle from LAX that is run by one of the bus lines, which worked fine for us the last time we flew.

Though, next time I fly, I will likely fly into Long Beach and take SuperShuttle. I did that for a convention at the Anaheim Convention Center and it took maybe half an hour to get from the airport to the hotel, and I got to fly Jet Blue which is my favorite airline!

Here is the website for the Disneyland Express bus which I believe is the one that Tink208 is referring to. We have used them twice and will use them again on our next trip. There were only 2 of us and we didn't need a car to go anywhere else as we were only going to Disneyland, so it worked out great for us. There is an online coupon that you can use for $3 off per person. I don't know the site right now, but if you need it and someone else doesn't post it, I can try to locate it.:)

I just returned from my first trip also, and used super shuttle with no problem. It was very convenient, and while we had to ride with other guests, this did not pose a problem, as we were the first stop in anaheim. We were off our flight and had our luggage around 6:45, and I believe we were fully checked in at the DLH at 7:45, not too shabby. Round trip for 2 cost us $66 total...

I was doing some pricing thru AAA and they could have set up the Disney Express bus with my DL ticket purchase.

The Greyline company mentioned above has coaches that are called the "Disneyland Express." However when I made my room reservations through Disneyland, I was told they did not make reservations for this service, and I would have to book my own airport transportation. The busses seemed nice, however the ones I saw seemed packed which probably meant multiple stops along the way. Whereas the van I booked through SuperShuttle only had two other parties with us, even though we ended up being the first stop...

For the price paid and possible wait time with making multiple stops would it be cheaper to hire a town car?

SuperShuttle also offered a private car or private van service on their site. If I remember correctly, it was much more expensive than the shared ride van that I used. I want to say it was about $175 round trip but dont quote me on that. Their website is www.supershuttle.com if you want to check it out...

With doing a shared van through super shuttle, are they ok with me bringing my carseat? I saw on their website it being 10pp.

I'm not sure what your'e asking. We used supershuttle, and for kids under 3 it's free. It was a certain amount for the first adult, and then $9 for everyone 3 and over. They did state that it was a requirement to have a carseat, if it was required by law for the kiddo to have a carseat. I hopped in, installed DS's seat, plopped him in it, and away we went! When we got to the hotel DS had fallen asleep and the buckle had gotten stuck in the pass-through and I was having a hard time holding sleeping Boy while untangling, and the driver kindly took the seat out for me.

hahah guess I wasn't that clear was I? I guess what I wonder is the room with a carseat considering it's a shared van. I just have this vision of the 3 of us being the last ones to be picked up and me trying to strap in a carseat between two large men unhappy that I'm strapping a carseat between them. :confused3

Well, he'll be on the reservation, so they'll need to have room for him (or call another shuttle), and room for him is just about the same as room for his seat. So I wouldn't worry. That's just me, though. :)

Can we tell this mommy is a worry wart?? :rotfl:
I'm getting better though I promise :)

SuperSuttle is more expensive for our 3 Adults.

WE get better pricing with Disney Express.

Even a rental car was more because we wouldn't be returning it to the Katella street rental office so there was a $40.00 fee on top of the ressie price for the car.

There is also a coupon that you can print out to save $3 per person. I'm not sure where to find it right now, but we used them on our last 2 trips. If you don't have it yet, maybe someone remembers the site for it.:)
