DL closing @5:00 PM on 6/24

I just checked the schedule online & it shows DL closing @ 5PM on 1 of my 2 days

Is this because of Pirates? The schedule was showing a midnight closing last week. It states a 6:30 AM opening though, like I would ever make it at that time

I just read this on another site: It's because the premiere of the new POTC movie is at Disneyland that day!

So if you want to see stars arriving for the premiere, it could be fun. If you don't care for that, you may want to spend the rest of the day at DCA, which will stay open later than usual.

lovely, isn't it? (hint, sarcasm). That is our 1st day of our trip. My coworker who is a Depp groupie informed me this morning of the premiere date. She plans on being there at 6:30 to get a place in line to see him come. So now they plan to have the re-opening of POTC that day, and then kick all the people out who came to see the new ride. Sounds like chaos to me. And it's not like WDW where if they close 1 park early, you can still choose from 3 others-only 1 to chose from here! Sounds like more chaos in DCA. As you can tell, I am less than thrilled.

I am sad about this too...its my birthday and our first living down here so I thought I would get to spend it at Disneyland with a friend. Bummer.

We are less than thrilled as well. Unfortunately, there is no way that we can change our plans. Yes, we are planning on going to DCA in the afternoon along with the ones that will already be there plus the gazillion others who also get kicked out of DL @ 5PM.

I had been patting myself on the back for missing Grad Nights and now this. Hopefully we can still see everything that we want to see.

We are not big groupies. Although my girls are 16 & 17, I doubt that they will want to hang out with a mob of people waiting for a glimpse of Johnny Depp.
