Hey has anyone else had trouble accessing the hotel availability calendar? I havn't been able to pull it up for 3 days now. Also does anyone think they will drop the rates for valentines/presidents weekend?

Yes, like you said it's been 3 days now. I notified their site through the "report technical problems thing"... It's not just you! It's really frustrating!

i was sort of hopefull it was due to rate changes so i call reservations directly and nope still the yucky 260.00 rate for PP. Well, I guess I'll just have to keep waiting.

Look at Expedia just for fun. I am going in March and currently booked off-site, but when I typed in my dates in Expedia, it was actually about $40 cheaper a night than the current AP rates. I didn't book, because I was *hoping* like you that they might lower them eventually, but it's worth a shot to look up your days!

Last year we went just before the 14th because the ap rates went up quite a bit for Valentine's Day.

Has anyone else received recent emails with discounts on the DLR hotels? Just like 2009, I have already received 2 separate emails - one with 35% off any of the 3 DLR hotels and one with 30% off any of the 3 hotels. The 35% off one seems to have more limited dates, and it blocks out basically the whole week surrounding Valentine's Day and Presidents Day. But the 30% off offer blocks out the 13th and 14th of February and then opens up again on the 15th - Presidents Day. So you could at least get that day at a discounted rate!

In any case, no, I don't think the AP rates will drop too much for that holiday weekend if at all. Pretty unlikely. And is $260 what is currently showing for the PPH? I have not checked. That's crazy! That is even crazier than the $221 PPH rate that was showing last year for October (until they finally dropped the October AP rates in September!).

I came up to post the same question so I'm glad it's been answered and not just my internet provider. I noticed on Wednesday that the rates for this weekend were pretty low, so I'm hoping they will reduce the price just before I go down for a one nite stay on the 22nd. Keeping fingers crossed since I can't see that anything special is happening that weekend. Right now I'm booked at HOJO entertainment rate for just $59 but I really don't like the walk. Does anyone know if the AP rate goes lower than what you booked if you get the new lower rate? Or do you have to call, cancel and make a new ressie?

Hey thanks everyone. Yeah I am in need of Friday the 12th and expedia, orbitz, travelosity and disneyland website are all at 290.00 and the ap rate is 260.00. I may have to break down and stay somewhere off site. I actually won a trip off the radio so we are using that for the 13th and 14th but we wanted to add the 12th. Oh well, I will just sit tight for a little bit longer and see what happens.

Yeah, kind of a bummer. I'm going the last week of March, so the week of Easter (expected it to be peak season) and I want to say PPH is $280 a night for the AP rate? Can't look it up to confirm right now but Expedia has it as $250 a night, so I might be better off booking through them if they don't drop them.

I also have received the 35% off e-mail.

We are planning on going in May. What chance is there that there may be a good AP rate for early May? I am trying to decide if I should book at the 35% rate before the end of February or wait to see if anything else comes along that would save us more. I guess I could book it before then and cancel if a better rate is released.

I wish they would extend the calendar out a little more (or at least put it back online)...

Try hotels.com. They've been good to me lately.

I'm also hoping for decent AP rates in early May, but with the opening of WOC, who knows if that will happen.:confused3 We had decent rates in late May last year, so I'm going to cross my fingers and wait.

I called today to find out about any discounts in Feb. They stated that the demand is too high and from Valentines through Easter break there will be no additional discounts. Total bummer.
