Initially closing until March 31st, they now have said.....

This is the full statement from Disney:

While there is still much uncertainty with respect to the impacts of COVID-19, the safety and well-being of our Guests and employees remain The Walt Disney Company’s top priority.
As a result of this unprecedented pandemic and in line with direction provided by health experts and government officials, Disneyland Resort and Walt Disney World Resort will remain closed until further notice.
The Walt Disney Company has been paying its Cast Members since the closure of the parks, and in light of this ongoing and increasingly complex crisis, we have made the decision to extend paying hourly parks and resorts Cast Members through April 18.

This tells me that they expect to be able to re-evaluate closer to 4/18 and make a decision on a re-opening date in 2-3 weeks. I'm not surprised. I sort of expected it since Universal Studios Hollywood announced that they're re-opening around 4/18-4/19.

I had a feeling that DL would still be closed for Easter, though. The LA unified school district is going to remain closed through 5/1. I think that it'll be closer to Memorial Day weekend that DL and WDW re-open.

UO stated after April 19 for projected opening.

Who knows when their next press release will be.

If you believe some of the infection rate projections for US, we're at least another month away from seeing the peak if people stay at home. I'm afraid mid to late May would be the earliest we can expect parks to re-open.

Expected, but still makes me very sad.

I have come to terms that my May trip won't happen, but still sad about it :(
Oh a brighter note, I do have a trip booked for December
