DK travel guides

Hi all,

Hoping for some advice please on anyone who uses the DK eyewitness travel guides.

I am preordering the 2013 ones for our January 2014 Nevada/California road trip. I've pre-ordered the Las Vegas one from Amazon and continued scrolling through the list once the order was completed. Later down the list is another seperate Las Vegas guide which seems to be by a different author, but still from DK and the same price also in paperback? I'm worried if I am ordering the correct one and hoping somebody may have come across this before?

Just in case anyone ever comes across anything like this - I emailed DK guides themselves and this was the response they sent to me - seems Amazon is at fault here

Dear xxxxxxxx

Thank you for your email. I entered the two ISBN's for these books into our database. The key difference between the two, which Amazon's pages don't make clear, is the form of English. The book you ordered is written in UK English, whereas the second book is in US English.

I hope this is of some use.

Please can you explain the difference in the two guides to me? I can only see a different author's name, a slightly different price and a slight date difference in release dates.

I just want to make sure I am ordering the most up to date one for my planning needs.

Thanks for the info, that's handy to know.

I'm kinda addicted to DK travel books, much to my DH's annoyance not only do I buy one for everywhere we go but also everywhere I want to go.

Lol I'm the same They are a great reference guide although sometimes now I feel I get too overly planny (made up word) on our trips now......
