I had DJ Scooter and highly recommend him. I was so against having props at my wedding as it reminds me of my Bat Mitzvah and told him that. I also had a whole list of songs not to play and he followed my list and did not bring out any props. He played a lot of great stuff for everyone(everyone at my wedding loves to dance) and had good energy. I know you can't pick who you want, but I would try to request him to your planner. You can google him and check out his website.
Scooter is great. He should contact you about 2 months or so before the wedding and email you a list to fill out with all the songs you want played and don't want played. I specifically told him no props so if you don't want them make sure you tell him. You won't be disappointed, he is fun.
For example-Leis or those blowup microphones. Even the neon glowsticks-it's just so bar mitzvah to me. We are not traditional-no YMCA, Electric Slide or any of those type dances along with Celebration by Kool and the Gang and all the other sterotypical wedding music. Scooter was great and did not play any of it. We told him if a guest requested something on the do not play list then he could play it. If you do want that then let him know. I know he has a ton of props and even a puppet. To each their own..
We had DJ Charles Miles. He was amazing!!! He had everyone dancing & singing the night away. I highly recommend him. He also does a lot of Disney's events so if you can book him early.
