Does anyone know the restrictions of using disney clip art for favors and welcome bag items?

We have a few ideas but one is:
We want to do candy bars with custom wrappers in the welcome bag and i can make them myself much cheaper than buying them. can i put a disney character on the wrapper i am printing? we will not be profiting from them just giving them as a gift.

I own alot of disney print software and am just confused what we can and cant print out and give away.

If you're making them yourself for personal use and not distributing them to a mass market I don't see why there would be any restrictions on using Disney clip art or pictures. And usually if there is Disney art available in Clip Art (like in MS Word) or from the MS website for downloading it's fine to use it for those kinds of items.

I went over to the DISigns board and someone there designd ones for me. They came out great, and we had no problem printing them out. My understanding of it is, as long as you're not making money off of them, you're okay.

P.S.- we also had water bottles done to match the candy bar wrappers. Everyone thought they were a great touch!

Thanks a million! i am new at this and did not even know that existed! found so great info over there!!

No problem! Anything we can do to make an overwhelming process a little easier. :thumbsup2

And the DISign boards are a gold mine. I had personalized letters from Mickey and Minnie done for each of the kids who were coming and window clings for family members who were driving and they all went over really well.

If it's on the software, then it should be fine! Just be careful about displaying it at the wedding/reception. My sister's (DISbride) welcome bags were given out prior to the ceremony with Mickey Mouse pictures and symbols on various things in them. For the wedding reception, she had a candy table, and my husband and I made mickey shaped rice krispy treats with chocolate krispies for the ears and whatnot. When my cousin was setting up the candy table at the reception, while myself and family were taking pics, one of the people who work for Disney and were assisting with the reception took them off of the table and said they could not be displayed since they mimicked a Mickey head. This was a shame after the time we took to make them, but we handed them to the guests as they were leaving anyway. If it's anything Disney to be out during the ceremony, I would double check with the planner...if it's for welcome bags, then there's no problem!
