Will Disney allow my own DIY stuff? bouquets and decor and favors etc?

I believe it depends on where your ceremony will be...so more details

okay...so all the outdoor places require only DFTW decor ie. floral...inside it's a different story...hopefully a more iinformed bride to be will come along with full details...but I do know for sure any floral at an outside location has to be DFTW

Bummer! We were really hoping to not do a lot of flowers, if any. Can I make a fake flower bouquet? What about centerpieces?

I really like the sash thing they have in the beach pictures, I wonder how much that is...

You can have your own personal floral (bouquet and boutonniere) at the beach. If you're having your reception at Whitehall, you can definitely have your own centerpieces, etc. because Disney doesn't consider it a "public" space. HTH! :)

Thanks!!!

We are having a Yacht Club Beach (Shipwreck Beach) wedding ceremony and Reception in Epcot. Our planner said I am allowed to bring personal flowers of my own (bouquet, bouts, corsages). :hippie:

What about the rest? favors and ribbon wands and centerpieces? Do you know where in Epcot you're having the reception? It sounds fab!

As far as I know, no matter where your ceremony, you are allowed to bring your own personal floral (either make them, or use an outside vendor.) At the wedding pavilion, you can also use an outside vendor or bring you own decorations, but Disney will not set it up for you, you must designate a family member or friend to do this. If you are having an Epcot ceremony, you must use Disney for everything but personal floral. I'm not sure what the rules are for other ceremony locations.

As far as the reception goes, you can bring you own favors, menus, and place cards anywhere. I think Disney will set out three items for you per person, anything more than that you have to designate someone to do it, or pay Disney to do it. Depending on your reception location, you may or may not be able to bring your own centerpieces and get linens from an outside vendor. Anywhere in the parks, or Atlantic Dance Hall, you must use Disney. Any ballroom you don't have to go through Disney.

HTH!

You guys are awesome, just answered my question! Now off to make custom Mickey pomanders for the pews of the WP :bride:
