DIY booking with US or UK site.

I have been reading through some other posts here regarding making ADR's and I'm a bit confused. Hopefully someone can clear this up for me.

If you book either a package or room only using the UK site does the booking or reference number you receive not work with making ADR's ? I have seen posts about having to ring Disney to obtain a 12 digit number before you can proceed.

I would be very grateful if any one who has booked through the UK site could explain the process. Once you have made a booking can you then go online to view it etc ?

I knew to ask for my US reference when I made my booking. However most people phone for it. You may be given an 8 digit number which is a combination of letters and numbers and this is also fine. I am going to find the thread that discussed it in full and post the link for you.

When I booked with UK site I was given a 6 digit ref (123456)
As 2Tiggies said, you need the US booking ref for ADR's
I emailed USA........couldn't wait, so phoned them.
I got 2 types of booking refs that both worked
Three letters & five numbers....eg.(ABC12345)
Twelve numbers.....eg. (123456123456)
