Has anyone been to this? Do you recommed it?

Thanks, Ang

We've been several times and it's one of our favourites, in part because it is a hit with all ages and geared toward the whole family (whereas some dinner shows are a bit more appealing to boys, some a bit more appealing to girls). The food is pretty good, too!

Dixie Stampede has a sampling of everything, from singing and dancing to ostrich races, potbelly pig races, comedy, competition....it's all there. We recommend it highly as a great family evening out.

Be sure to arrive in plenty of time so you can take a few minutes to meet some of the 'stars' of the show, in their stalls along the pathway leading to the front door.

I'd also say this is the best fo the dinner shows, def the best food.

I've eaten in the Dixie Stampede in Gatlinburg, Tennessee a few times. Last time I ate there, we thought we were lucky to get front row seats, but when the horses ran by, the sawdust from the floor flew up into our food :crazy2: . if you get offered these seats, either ask for others, or have something to cover your food with.

We have been in Gatlinburg as well as Myrtle Beach. The vegetable soup is the BEST!! We have also been to the Christmas show.I would tell anyone that this a MUST SEE.The live nativity scene is beautiful. It is worth every penny it costs.

I totally agree. The Christmas show is amazing! We saw it our first Christmas living in Orlando, and I think I might try and go back this year!

We went last year.
Ok show but the food wasn't up to much, my kids wouldn't eat it. They especially didn't like getting a whole little chicken, the soup was luke warm too.
2 drinks if you're lucky and you have to buy your own at the pre-show. Waitress told us at the end that the expected tip was $5 per person!

We did Dixie Stampede last year, and liked it so much that we are doing it this year again. Thanks for the warning about front row seats and the sawdust!

Never been to any dinner shows but most of them have got a bit of a rep for being overpriced with poor food, poor service. and as you say they try and demand a tip off you as well !!!!

Thanks for all your replies. Not sure if we'll go or not - if we have time to go I think I'll get tickets whilst we're there.

Sound good though :)

Hi all does anyone know the dates that the Christmas shows are on as i cant find anything about it on treir site
thanks

It did say on the website before that the Christmas shows start on Nov 1st and run for 2 months but I can't find it now either!! :confused3

It's worth a visit. We enjoyed it. If you plan on buying tickets when you get there look out for discount coupons in the booklets you can pick up in your hotel lobby or supermarkets they will save you a few dollars. My only word of caution is that they do use every opportunity to make a few dollars out of you with souvenir photo's, drinks mugs, flags etc so it can soon mount up :)
