I have made a reservation for 2 rooms w/5 people in total. Will each room get separate DDP points or all lumped into 1 account since it was all one reservation? It would work best for us if each room kept their own plan. Has anyone run into this scenario? :bounce: pirate: pixiedust:

Yes. I just got back from a 2 room with 6 people trip. Each room gets their own points. Whichever room has the 3 people will get 3 X #nights. Whichever room has the 2 people will get 2 X #nights.

Would like to know this too, in the exact same situation.

Ugh...I was afraid of that. We will have 2 rooms, but would prefer to have all the credits together. It is myself, DH, and 3 DSs. I think it will be a pain to try and keep track of it seperately.

:headache: Good point!

I know we'll have to keep closer track now, as we have at least one night where the kids are eating CS while DH and I go out for dinner together.

Just wanted to ask if you had one reservation for 2 rooms or did each room have its own ressie number? We had figured before (of course I cant remember if it was truely based on real life experience or so and so said...seeing as how I've never been in the situation) that if it was one ressie 2 rooms you would get (or was it could get) all credits together (think 2 rooms for one family where the second room was all kids) whereas if the rooms are under separate ressie numbers even if using the same name etc you they would be separated.

We just returned from POFQ and had two rooms (2 adults, 3 children). At check in they explained that in the system it is treated like two separate reservations (rm 1: 1 adult & 1 child, rm 2: 1 adult, 2 children). It was explained to me that they could not legally list only children in a room.

The DDP credits are divided according to the number of people in each room. It was a minor inconvenience to have to keep track of how many credits were left on each card. We tried for the most part to use one account until it was nearly depleted and then used the other account. Naturally, this got harder towards the end as we ran out of certain credits and had to use both cards for CS and TS. As my children are all over 9, we did not have to track child and adult credits--all adults on DDP.

The only hassle was that our cards only unlocked the door to which they were assigned. We just had to make sure that if one of the doors was bolted from the inside, that we had the correct keycard to get back in when we split up for certain activities.

Not as easy as everything on one reservation, but it wasn't too bad.

I had three rooms last October with three seperate points. I keep a little notecard in with my ticket and each time I used points, I wrote it down on the notecard. So I always know how many points were for each room.

Remember you can always go to the front desk and get a print out of your point balance!!!

.....We also have 2 rooms booked under one Ressie #. It is me, DH, and 2 DD's in room #1 and my parents in room #2. If the dining credits are separated by room, then there are only a few times we will have to be careful. There are 1 or 2 times when DH will dine with my parents while I take I take DD6 somewhere else.

.....But what about when my Mom and DD6 go to the PSB dinner on our last night? princess: Will they be able to take the last credit off my DD's card? I can't remember if her card last year was usable for the dining or not. The rest of us are going to Le Cellier. :woohoo:

.....Anyone who has had to do it this way before? How did it work for you? Thanks!! :sunny: Rebecca

strmtroopr96,

All the cards for each room will have access to the dining credits for that room. So, you should be able to give your DD's card to your parents and they can use their card and your DD's card. Just make sure they tell the server what credits to charge on each card. My children's cards worked for dining credits, but not for regular charging. I don't know if they automatically do this, but I remember requesting it at check-in.

We just returned from Pop Century and we had 3 rooms, 2 adults in each. We had 1 reservation # but they divide the credits by room. We were together for all of our meals so we just handed the server 1 card from each room at the end of the meal. When you split up, as long as each person uses their own card, it shouldn't be too hard to keep track of the credits. I just made sure that everyone gave me their receipts at the end of the day to help keep track.

:wizard: Great! Thanks for letting me know.

We had two rooms at POP for My family of 6. It got a bit confusing some CS and TS places wanted a card from each room to verify I guess we were ordering the right number of kids versus adult meals. Some places seemed happy to deduct all from one card. The problem I had was that near the end we were out of CS on one card and my two teens went off on there own for lunch but had no CS credits on their tickets for lunch. They were all left on the other room tickets that they were not name on. A bit frustrating.
I did find that at the conceirge desk they could re distribute some meals to the other rooms card so that the last day we did not have the same problem. But still having to go down to the desk and wait in line to redistribute meals so that the party could split was annoying. I would recommend that you try to deduct evenly from all rooms if there is any chance that your party will be splitting up at any times for meals. Also we found one CS place that did not want to let us use our last 5 meal credits as the card they were left on said 3 Adults and one Child. They were legitimately 5 adult credits as many other CS places had not cared which card they deducted from so the other card was empty. Easily resolved as we just split the order in two and one person ordered 3 meal and another person ordered 2 meals with the same room card but it just seemed a stupid waste of time and energy.

If booked as one reserveation you can ask for all keys to open doors same as cc for chargeing. If you have conecting rooms just leave conecting door open
