DiveQuest at the Living Seas?

Has anyone done DiveQuest at Epcot? My DH and DD are doing it in July when we go.

We did the Dive Quest a few years ago. We really enjoyed the whole experience.

They video the entire dive for you.

I love wearing my "Mickey Scuba" t-shirt when we are diving in other areas of the world. Always get lots of comments.

My daughter (11) would love this. HOw do you find out about it and how much does it cost? Do you have to book months ahead or could we book for our May trip?????

We bought this for our son a couple of years ago. The video tape cost us an extra $35 I think.

My dh has done it twice and loved it! There is also a discount through AAA, 10% I think. It's around $140 or so without the discount. Make sure you ask what time they'll be in the water. I learned that the hard way the first time! We spent our whole afternoon in the Living Seas waiting for him to dive. They have an instruction period as well as getting fitted for wet suits etc. beforehand, so it takes a while before they actually get in the water.

It was asked above, but no reply yet, so asking again - does anyone know how far in advance you need to book this?

And it says its at 4:30 & 5:30 are these correct current times?

It also says this ...

"Please do not bring cameras of any kind. However, other members of your party may be able to photograph or video parts of your dive from the observation windows in the pavilion."

Is this true? You can't even use those cheapy disposable underwater cameras? Any ideas why not?

I would book ASAP when you know your dates. I booked/paid that before even making the character dinner plans. The times are correct. Only 2 times a day. I guess if it was more it might upset the fish. Cameras are not allowed but you can buy the DVD for small price(I hope) which I think would be better as then you can enjoy the dive instead of trying to get the perfect picture. My DH read the links last night and said it gave great information about the dive and what to expect. The biggest thing is you have to be a Open Water Certified Diver to be able to do this. I am not so I have booked a massage at CSR for me and DMIL at the same time.

Yes, those are the correct times. I think you can book it 90 days in advance. They don't allow you to bring anything into the tank except your mask to keep the balance correct, that sort of thing. They provide all equipment for this same reason. And yes, you can purchase a DVD of your dive (they show it to you in a room upstairs after the dive is over) for around $30.
