DH and I went to Key West years ago and it was the most relaxing vacation I have ever been on. It was awesome. Let me know if you have any questions that I can help with, I hate planning a vacation to a new place, I like going somewhere I know I enjoy. Hence the 10 trips to Las Vegas and the soon to be 4 trips to Disney this year.

Oh forgot to comment on those pictures, they turned out great! Jackie, I would have loved to see you in some mouse ears, even though you don't think you look good in them. This trip I did learn to let go some and do some very unattractive things....but I didn't do mouse ears so I'll just be quiet now...

Maybe in October, I will take a mouse ears photo!

I'm loving your TR CP! Don't worry about your Diva Moment, we've all been there. DH calls me "Ravenous Beast Woman" when I haven't eaten and I call him Belligerent when he needs to eat and gets nasty. He's a Type1 Diabetic so he has an excuse. Me ..... I'm just high maintenance.

What's the deal with Charles ditching you guys? What was he doing? That would have driven me crazy.

I am so glad you are enjoying the TR! I love the title Ravenous Beast Woman -- I will have to remember that one! Charles is a type 1 diabetic as well -- it's been tough. I think Charles was just not feeling the Disney magic this trip!

oh, i have an ex-boyfriend who kissed like this!!!! gross. i remember....i was 15 years old and we were at a friend's party and on a hayride. well, he decided to lay one on me (the first and last time he ever kissed me, by the way) and i swear my head was hanging off the back of the wagon - not the most comfortable place to be kissed! he was the worst kisser ever. when we got back to the house i went to the bathroom and you could see where all the makeup was gone from under my nose, all around my mouth and down to my chin. SO GROSS!!! i think i broke up with him later that night.

I was so far behind that I just read your updates and not the chatter. I guess I missed this?? Are you going to KW? The reason I ask is that DH has mentioned us going there this fall or winter.

So, today is Chelsea's 12th birthday, and Disneyland's 54th birthday! I can't believe that she is almost a teenager!

Great TR so far Just got caught up reading it today and decide to subscribe You guys have seemed to do alot of things we have also not done yet and we have gone the last 4 years . So I'm making note for the next time we go ! Great Photopass Photo's Can't wait to see more !

Glad you have joined the fun! During the course of planning and reading others' PTRs/TRs, we discovered there were a lot of things we were skipping all the time, so we made it one of our big goals to try new things this trip!

Hey there...just joining in! Love your TR, so far. Your kids are adorable.

And, I just have to say...I've been known to have epic meltdowns and I don't have kids or anyone to blame... unfortunately for my go-with-the-flow DF that doesn't seem to matter, since he gets the brunt of it anyway. Planners shouldn't have to alter their plans...it goes against nature!

Oh I forgot! YES, I have been to Key West, ONCE. When we were on our DISNEY cruise!!!!!

Seriously, we were not able to go to one island, I can't remember which port now, but it was because of weather.... so they rerouted us one day.... ANYWAY, it was really pretty, very cute, reminds me of the resort we just stayed at, but not so big!!

Hemingway's house is there.... the house and over 100 cats!!!! It is crazy!

First of all....

I have been to Key West twice. I KW for a LOT of reasons and DH and I had a lovely lovely trip there 2 years ago.

However.....I wouldn't take my kids there. I'm not sure if this is a couple trip or a family trip so just wanted you to beware. My sister tried it 2 years ago with her family and ended up back in Orlando, early with no place to stay b/c she felt it very inappropriate for her kids. Just a lot of debauchery in the streets at night. And during the day. As in stumbling down drunk getting sick in the streets drinking in public on the street encouraged inappropriate.

Which works as an adult if you want to ride your beach cruiser from your B&B in your swimsuit to Sloppy Joe's for a beer, or to Margaritaville for well, a margarita, (or both) and back but not so much with the small folk.

My sister likes her wine as much as anyone and it's not like her kids are completely innocent but...if you are bringing the kids just be careful in old town, especially at night. It is gorgeous, the drive incredible. The beaches not much to speak of. Plenty of good food and some truly truly lovely places to stay that are very private, lush and retreat-ish, but....it is far more geared to singles and couples.

since I apparently have gotten 14 pages behind in the last couple of very busy weeks, it is possible someone has already mentioned this but I had to jump in. I do believe this is indeed a girl giraffe. How can you tell them apart? (without turning them over of course ) Boy giraffes have horns that are bald on top while girl giraffes have fur topped horns
