Divas, Zebra Domes, and Pixie Dust! A Week in an African Paradise! New TR Link Pg.145

P.S. Connor is going to be bigger than both of you in no time!

And Chelsea is quickly gaining on me!

the pics are lovely!!

Thank you!

CP, you look so happy in those photos! :cutie:

Can you tell I was excited to be there?

Nice pictures, CP.:)

Thank you!

Your photopass pictures are great. I love all the "celebration" stuff they have this year.

Thank you! I always have the hardest time deciding on which borders to use!

Today is my Goofy (well his real name is Jagger!) 's 7th birthday! He is in good company!

Allyson

I thought about that this morning -- I was pretty sure one of your three shared a b-day with Chelsea! Hope Jagger is having a wonderful day!

Your photopass pictures are great!

DH and I went to Key West years ago and it was the most relaxing vacation I have ever been on. It was awesome. :cool1: Let me know if you have any questions that I can help with, I hate planning a vacation to a new place, I like going somewhere I know I enjoy. :rotfl: Hence the 10 trips to Las Vegas and the soon to be 4 trips to Disney this year. :rolleyes1

Can't wait for your next update!

Thank you! Oh, I would love to hear any advice on where to go, eat, and stay that you might have about Key West!

Your photopass pics came out great. Everyone has that happy "day 1" look to them. ;)

Thank you! We were so excited to be in the middle of the Magic Kingdom!

Beautiful pictures, too!

Thank you!

Those pictures are SO cute!!!!! I LOVE them!!!!

HAPPY BIRTHDAY CHELSEA!!!!!!!!!!

Thank you! I am going to have a hard time deciding which ones to order this year.

Chelsea is having a wonderful day!

Jackie, IF you have time tonight I'd love that update...:rolleyes1

I think the pink Vespa will be perfect for Key West! I am going to try really hard to update tonight when things quiet down.

Oh forgot to comment on those pictures, they turned out great! Jackie, I would have loved to see you in some mouse ears, even though you don't think you look good in them. This trip I did learn to let go some and do some very unattractive things....but I didn't do mouse ears so I'll just be quiet now...

Maybe in October, I will take a mouse ears photo!

What unattractive things??? I haven't seen anything like that yet!

I'm loving your TR CP! Don't worry about your Diva Moment, we've all been there. DH calls me "Ravenous Beast Woman" when I haven't eaten and I call him Belligerent when he needs to eat and gets nasty. He's a Type1 Diabetic so he has an excuse. Me ..... I'm just high maintenance. :rotfl2:

What's the deal with Charles ditching you guys? What was he doing? That would have driven me crazy.

:welcome: I am so glad you are enjoying the TR! I love the title Ravenous Beast Woman -- I will have to remember that one! Charles is a type 1 diabetic as well -- it's been tough. I think Charles was just not feeling the Disney magic this trip! :confused3

The photos are great!

Thank you, Jen!

It is between 11/29-12/2. I don't believe in those dates because Madi was 2 weeks late!!!! :scared1:

Oh goodness! Let's hope your little boy comes sooner than that!

Happy Birthday Chelsea! I adore their hats in the pics, they look so cute!

Now on a less festive note: I have to wait at least 7 hours until I can see those pictures! arrrrgggghhhhh!

That's the deal with my work, too -- I can't see any photos usually -- speaking of which, I go back in exactly two weeks!

And love the Photopass pics...they came out beautiful!

Thank you!

And your photopass pics are cute! The celebration border is very cute!

Thank you! They were fun to take and decorate, too!

Your photo pass pictures did turn out great, which compliment the awesome pictures you took!! Should make for a great Album all the way around and some fun times sitting around with the kids later in life, giggling and enjoying the memories that were made!!!

Ah, thank you! :goodvibes

I like a lady with "goals"..........especially with an "update" goal!!! :thumbsup2I have my fingers crossed that the rest of your day was just "fun" and no interpreting will be required?? :scared:

Well, you will be off the hook with Charles -- now if you want to interpret Connor's actions, you will be more than welcome to try!

Brother, that was awesome and I bet Chelsea does rock it out today!!!!! I wish you had waited a little later in the morning (after Wigd. got up!!) and had her play the cowbell along with Paul!! :rotfl2: Wonder if Chelsea will even know who Paul is........because we all know he ain't BO!!!!! Shouldn't matter anyway, she can still rock out on her BIRTHDAY!!!!! :thumbsup2

She had no clue until I explained it to her, but she was rocking out just the same! :lmao:

oh, i have an ex-boyfriend who kissed like this!!!! gross. i remember....i was 15 years old and we were at a friend's party and on a hayride. well, he decided to lay one on me (the first and last time he ever kissed me, by the way) and i swear my head was hanging off the back of the wagon - not the most comfortable place to be kissed! he was the worst kisser ever. when we got back to the house i went to the bathroom and you could see where all the makeup was gone from under my nose, all around my mouth and down to my chin. SO GROSS!!! i think i broke up with him later that night. :rotfl2:
OMG :rotfl2: :rotfl2:

Have you been to Key West before? We have never been and are looking forward to it, but am completely clueless about anything since none of us have ever been.
I was so far behind that I just read your updates and not the chatter. I guess I missed this?? Are you going to KW? The reason I ask is that DH has mentioned us going there this fall or winter.

So, today is Chelsea's 12th birthday, and Disneyland's 54th birthday! I can't believe that she is almost a teenager!
Beautiful Pics

Please tell Chelsea happy birthday from me. :flower3:

Great Photopass pic!!!!!!!

Thank you!

I was up thank you very much! I need to be on the look out for a cowbell, hmmmm maybe at the farm implement store in town.....

Is that where Wigd gets those strange things to put in his backpack??? :lmao:

Looking forward to it!
Kathy

I am looking forward to writing it. :goodvibes

Wonderful photopass pictures!
Looking forward to the update :goodvibes

Thank you! I think this update will be fun to write!

Love the photopass pictures Jackie!!!!!!

Thank you, Diane! :goodvibes

Great TR so far :thumbsup2 Just got caught up reading it today and decide to subscribe :) You guys have seemed to do alot of things we have also not done yet and we have gone the last 4 years . So I'm making note for the next time we go ! Great Photopass Photo's :) Can't wait to see more !popcorn::

:welcome: Glad you have joined the fun! :goodvibes During the course of planning and reading others' PTRs/TRs, we discovered there were a lot of things we were skipping all the time, so we made it one of our big goals to try new things this trip!

Hey there...just joining in! Love your TR, so far. :thumbsup2 Your kids are adorable. :goodvibes

And, I just have to say...I've been known to have epic meltdowns and I don't have kids or anyone to blame... unfortunately for my go-with-the-flow DF that doesn't seem to matter, since he gets the brunt of it anyway. :rotfl: Planners shouldn't have to alter their plans...it goes against nature!

Can't wait to read more!

:welcome: Thank you so much for reading along! I agree that planners shouldn't have to alter plans! :lmao:

Ok I'm all caught up!!! Awesome pics on the safari!

Great TR so far!!

Thank you! I am so proud of those giraffe photos! :goodvibes

Loving the TR, great photopass pics!!

Thank you! Chelsea is definitely living it up for her birthday!

I was so far behind that I just read your updates and not the chatter. I guess I missed this?? Are you going to KW? The reason I ask is that DH has mentioned us going there this fall or winter.

Right now that is where we are going to head next summer! We are already pretty excited just reading the guidebook and finding information on the internet. If you go before us, you will have to give us all the details!

Beautiful Pics

Thank you!

Please tell Chelsea happy birthday from me. :flower3:

I will certainly do so! :goodvibes

What great Photopass pictures, Jackie!! Soo sweet!!

And Happy 12th Birthday to Chelsea!!! :bday:

Love the photopass pics. I was :rotfl: when Chelsea said you had to tell her who Paul is.

Happy birthday Chelsea!!

Shocker that youtube video was awesome!

CP - Love the photopass pic! Really, really cute!

Shocker - Love the video. Edited because I made an unkind remark about the drummer. That's what working in a hospital all week will do to you!

Crap - just burnt my greenbeans watching that video!

Happy Birthday to Chelsea...and congratulations to you Jackie-it is no small feat to have your daughter turn 12 and all the care, consideration and patience it takes to reach that point-so kudos to you too...:woohoo:

And I'm hear to tell you not to be afraid of the teenage years-I have a 14yr old DD who is lovely (95% of the time) and I have yet had a serious urge to sell her...:rotfl:

Lovely Photos as well! :goodvibes

Happy Birthday, Chelsea!

It's amazing how fast they grow up. I love the photos from the Magic Kingdom! Very, very nice. And so cute with the ears, too. :thumbsup2

I hope your family had fun celebrating Chelsea's birthday! And I think your photopass pics are great! :goodvibes

Oh I forgot! YES, I have been to Key West, ONCE. When we were on our DISNEY cruise!!!!! :rotfl2:

Seriously, we were not able to go to one island, I can't remember which port now, but it was because of weather.... so they rerouted us one day.... ANYWAY, it was really pretty, very cute, reminds me of the resort we just stayed at, but not so big!! :goodvibes

Hemingway's house is there.... the house and over 100 cats!!!! It is crazy!

HAPPY BIRTHDAY CHELSEA!!!!!!!

---Signed, the OTHER Chelsea. The one 2,000+ miles away. Yeah, that one. ;) Have a great day!

Happy Happy Birthday Chelsea.....can't believe I almost missed sending you our best for your best day ever:yay::woohoo::hug:

Jackie, love the pictures, beautiful family:love:

Right now that is where we are going to head next summer! We are already pretty excited just reading the guidebook and finding information on the internet. If you go before us, you will have to give us all the details!

First of all....

:goodvibesHAPPY BIRTHDAY CHELSEA!
:goodvibes

and 2nd....

I have been to Key West twice. I  KW for a LOT of reasons and DH and I had a lovely lovely trip there 2 years ago.

However.....I wouldn't take my kids there. I'm not sure if this is a couple trip or a family trip so just wanted you to beware. My sister tried it 2 years ago with her family and ended up back in Orlando, early with no place to stay b/c she felt it very inappropriate for her kids. Just a lot of debauchery in the streets at night. And during the day. As in stumbling down drunk getting sick in the streets drinking in public on the street encouraged inappropriate.

Which works as an adult if you want to ride your beach cruiser from your B&B in your swimsuit to Sloppy Joe's for a beer, or to Margaritaville for well, a margarita, (or both) and back but not so much with the small folk.

My sister likes her wine as much as anyone and it's not like her kids are completely innocent but...if you are bringing the kids just be careful in old town, especially at night. It is gorgeous, the drive incredible. The beaches not much to speak of. Plenty of good food and some truly truly lovely places to stay that are very private, lush and retreat-ish, but....it is far more geared to singles and couples.

This is with the zoom on -- isn’t she pretty? I am assuming she is a girl giraffe because of her long lashes. ;)

071-2.jpg

since I apparently have gotten 14 pages behind in the last couple of very busy weeks, it is possible someone has already mentioned this but I had to jump in. I do believe this is indeed a girl giraffe. How can you tell them apart? (without turning them over of course :rotfl2:) Boy giraffes have horns that are bald on top while girl giraffes have fur topped horns
