Divas, Zebra Domes, and Pixie Dust! A Week in an African Paradise! New TR Link Pg.145

I feel something bad coming up in the way of a Kim Possible Mission. :rolleyes1

Hello Nobby!! :yay:

Too funny about Chelsea and Soarin'. She'll understand someday when she has kids of her own!

Love the update.
The strawberry shortcake at the seasons is to die for, but then again everything there is.
We never do innovations last trip we went there for a few minutes, but then we could get another FP so we left. I planned on our Epcot day to go there for an hour or two. What time of day do you think is best to go?

:rotfl2: I love the pictures of Chelsea and Connor doing the video game!! how cool is that!!!!!!!!

I just love riding the land! We had to beg Chad's mom and stepdad to ride it the 1st time we took them to Epcot! It turned into a joke....every 5 minutes we would ask them if they would want to ride Living with the Land! :rotfl2:

Isn't that why we have kids - to torment, embarrass, and make them wear the center strap on Soarin' ?? :) Glad she got over it shortly!

Oh, that strawberry shortcake.... yum, yum, yum! DH picked that out for me on our last trip and I enjoyed every bite!

That video game thing sounds cool! That's going on the list for "next time." DS would get a kick out of doing that!

I think I need that dessert plate! EPCOT is a great park, always so much to do and experience!

Ahh.. teenage miffs... I am not ready for that!

Look it’s Chelsea and Connor in their first-ever video game!!!

Oh, they must've loved seeing themselves in the game!

Too bad you can't get a copy of it to take home!

Last Day!!! :crazy2:

Kathy

Wow! That video game looks so cool! Did I read somewhere that somehow you can send it to yourself at home and still play it from home?

Poor Chelsea and the red strap. I probably would have reacted the same as a teen but would do the same as you as a mom. :thumbsup2

Love the snacks - especially that you had dessert. :upsidedow

Can't wait to hear about Kim Possible!

YUM! Those pastries look delicious! I'm glad Chelsea began to speak to you at least a little bit so that we could see that wonderful pic!

Where's Charles?

I love how mad Chelsea was about the strap! YOu're such a mean mom!

My kids haven't started the not talking to me. My daughter is 13 so she is the right age for it. I think it would be nice to hear silence sometimes.

If I was in your family I would have been one of the people that had dessert for breakfast!

Everytime I read one of your AK Lodge updates, I want to reread my #1 Ladies Detective Agency books again.:cloud9: You really took advantage of so much that the AKL has to offer. I love the idea of a story around the fire, and what a beautiful story teller!

I :rotfl: at Chelsea's pout. Amelia does that too. When she wants us to remember that she's not happy with us, heavy sighs, harumphs, and crossed arms ensue.

Ok, now that I've replied to the second to last update, I'm going to read the latest. I appear to be majorly memory challenged lately.

Ok, isn't it time for a new 9 pound lemon?:rotfl:

Glad Chelsea got over her upset with you. No one can stay mad over yummy pastries.:)

The video game is too cool! I loved the pics of the kiddos posing, especially Connor on Chelsea's foot. Ouch!

Oh, and Chelsea's bag is cute. Did she buy it on this trip?

Looks like a great day at EPCOT and I don't blame you for making Chelsea use the center strap. I am glad that she ended up talking to you after a little bit. I am looking forward to seeing if Connor ended up being able to do the Mission of not.

Your pictures and storytelling have me groaning for the next two weeks to pass by quickly!! Did you know there is a huge hidden mickey on living with the land? The lettuce is two different shades of green, the lighter green is a mickey! (David figured this one out!)

Is it party time over here yet? party:
You know I get up early, so I am ready to start the music!

If not, I'll just sit very quietly at the empty table until things get started. :)

Happy Birthday to a very special ten year old! :bday:

The video games in Innoventions are great!
Your breakfast looks delicious. Sunshine Seasons is a great place to eat.
I wonder what happened to the Mickey head pumpkins. When I went in August, Living with the Land was closed.
Have you done the Behind the Seeds tour?

I love Living with the Land, pity that there was no Mickey pumpkin though!

That video game looks awesome, I'll so have to do it with my girls :thumbsup2

I am not sure how we missed seeing the pumpkin. :confused3

The video game was so funny -- you must have the girls do it!

Forget the kids...I kind of want to make my own video game!!! LOL I'm sure the kids love doing that! Club Cool...Beverly???

They were loving making their own video game -- Connor especially!

No Beverly -- although Connor did try to get me to try some.

Ooo-I didn't even know about the video game...we'll have to put that on the ever growing list of to dos next time around...

Oh-I'm so happy for Connor that he gets to do another KP Mission...(I have to admit-I really like them too...)

popcorn::

Yes, add it on the list -- gotta love those lists since they show us all the reasons we HAVE to go back! :thumbsup2

I like the missions, too -- just not a million in a row in the heat and the crowds! :sad2:

Wow your strawberry shortcake looks so good!!! I putting that on my list for next time and the make your own video game. My 10 year old would love it.

Hopefully Chelsea will be tall enough on her next visit not to have to even consider wearing the center strap.

The strawberry shortcake was very good!

Chelsea has already grown so much since June that I don't think it will even be an issue next time.

Sorry I haven't posted much lately, but I've been following along!

It looks like the kids had a ton of fun, and that dessert looks delish!

Hi!!! Yes, they had fun seeing themselves in a video game, and the dessert was just the energy boost we needed to keep going. ;)

Would you believe that we never even made it to Innoventions when we were there? Never saw Figment either! It's high on our to-do list in November.

Both are must-dos! Kyle and Tatiana would really like all the stuff in Innoventions.

I love your breakfast choices!

I'm very glad you found a nice spot for Nobby. Chelsea is in full tween mode isn't she, I can only imagine what Kendall's reaction would have been. Heck, I could see Evan pulling the same snit.

I need to check out the video game thing next time, the boys would love that!

Great update, keep it coming!

Our breakfast choices were perfect for an Epcot morning. ;)

Chelsea is in full tween mode and then some!

The video game was very cute!

I was a bit behind....okay, a LOT behind! :sad2: But, I'm all caught up now-every update has made me smile! I had to laugh a bit at the pre-teen angst of using the center strap.... I don't blame you ONE bit for making her use that center strap-I would have done the exact same!!! :goodvibes

I just couldn't help myself -- I even told Chelsea it was all me and my fear of heights and she would just have to deal with her mother's insecurities. ;)

Love that you took the time to experience the folk teller...that is such a neat unique aspect of AKL. :thumbsup2

It was one of my favorite moments -- rocking in those chairs around the fire and listening to a story! :lovestruc

The video game stuff at Innoventions looks so neat! I bet the kids had a blast doing that.

Isn't that strawberry shortcake from SS WONDERFUL? :cloud9:

They did get a kick out of the video game!

Yes, the strawberry shortcake was so good -- I couldn't finish it though since it was such a big piece.

Fun update, can't believe it is the last day. Those snacks looked yummy!

They were delicious! I am trying to figure out how to fit Sunshine Seasons into the trip in a couple of weeks.

That video game picture is hilarious!!!! Yum on the shortcake. Yum, yum, double yum. :)

Yes, yum definitely describes that shortcake!

So sad that you're on your last day! The video game looks like alot of fun. And I too have been on the receiving end of pre-teen attitude - just 5 minutes ago, in fact:sad2:. Mine doesn't hold onto it very long, thankfully, she moves on to the next drama quickly!

 Chelsea moves on to the next drama pretty quickly as well! There's never a dull moment at our house these days! The latest was being mad at us for not allowing her to miss her brother's birthday get-together today. :sad2:

The yummies look just that...yummy!

They were very yummy!

Chelsea and Connor are really focusing in that first picture. We haven't been in a video game before. We'll have to give that a try!

Brooklyn would make a great video game character!

You're so funny making Chelsea wear a strap like the little aviators.
I know she didn't think you were too funny at the time, though. I guess it made it easier for her to forgive you the hungrier she got, since she knew that without you, there would be none of the aforementioned yummies.

Thanks for reminding me of my Soarin' today.

Oh, she was so livid with me. I think it was the maddest she has been at me in a long time -- part of it was that she was mortified at wearing the strap. I am so glad I am not at the age where I think everyone is looking at me anymore!

Just thinking about Soarin' always makes me smile.

Living with the Land is closed for a while, so I guess we'll see it again in December, if it is back and if time allows. I enjoy the ride and want to do the Behind the Seeds Tour someday.

I love Living with the Land and am sad it is closed, too.

Awww...I simply loved this update!! We got to see Nobby, glad he was able to do some relaxing that is always nice!!!

Connor was not happy with us for neglecting Nobby on the trip, but Nobby seemed just fine. ;)

EPCOT...such a fun park!! Those snacks at Sunshine Seasons looked delicious!! YUMMY!!!

Loved that they were able to make their own video game, how cool is that!!!

Can't wait to hear about Connor's adventures with Kim P!!

Trust me -- there is definitely a lot to relate about Kim P!

Hey Jackie! Loved the Epcot morning last day so far! Soarin' with or without the center strap = :cloud9: Oh! And the treats look good too :thumbsup2

Love that make your own video game! I have to do that this trip -- we never have...

Your boys would be so cute making their own video game -- make sure you do it! It was a hoot!

I told Chelsea I would probably wear the center strap if I could! :lmao:

You made her use the center strap?!? I think that Baylor uses it he worries that he will fall out.....

Chelsea may never truly forgive me for the indignity of it all. I don't blame Baylor -- I worry, too, and would so use the center strap if I could get away with it. :rotfl:

That strawberry shortcake looks very tasty, and I can't wait to show Baylor the video game at Innoventions!

It is right up Baylor's alley!

:cool1:For Connor getting back to his Kim Possible mission !

He was so excited! (I may have even told him that he could do as many missions as he wanted.)

I would so no be popular with Chelsea right now, since I'm going to agree with you on the center strap thing. Heights scare the beejezus out of me, so I'm with you! The last thing we need is a kiddo slipping out! :thumbsup2

Thank you! That's what I am saying!

The video game thing looks soooo cool! I'm going to have to tell my husband about that. Thank goodness Connor's lined up for more Kim Possible! ;)

Lined up for more KP...and then some...

I feel something bad coming up in the way of a Kim Possible Mission. :rolleyes1

Not for Connor...:rolleyes1

Too funny about Chelsea and Soarin'. She'll understand someday when she has kids of her own!

Yes, she will -- my eyes were certainly opened quite a bit once I became a parent.

Love the update.
The strawberry shortcake at the seasons is to die for, but then again everything there is.

Thank you! I want to try an actual meal there someday.

We never do innovations last trip we went there for a few minutes, but then we could get another FP so we left. I planned on our Epcot day to go there for an hour or two. What time of day do you think is best to go?

Anytime we have gone in there it's been reasonably quiet -- of course, I don't know as if we have ever been in there when it wasn't the morning (we almost always head over to World Showcase by 11:00).

:rotfl2: I love the pictures of Chelsea and Connor doing the video game!! how cool is that!!!!!!!!

They were very into it. :rotfl:

I just love riding the land! We had to beg Chad's mom and stepdad to ride it the 1st time we took them to Epcot! It turned into a joke....every 5 minutes we would ask them if they would want to ride Living with the Land! :rotfl2:

:rotfl2: You must be so much fun to travel with!

Isn't that why we have kids - to torment, embarrass, and make them wear the center strap on Soarin' ?? Glad she got over it shortly!

That's why I had my two! :lmao:

Oh, that strawberry shortcake.... yum, yum, yum! DH picked that out for me on our last trip and I enjoyed every bite!

It was a little slice of heaven on a plate!

That video game thing sounds cool! That's going on the list for "next time." DS would get a kick out of doing that!

It was very fun!

I think I need that dessert plate! EPCOT is a great park, always so much to do and experience!

Ahh.. teenage miffs... I am not ready for that!

We never seem to run out of things to do at Epcot -- that's for sure!

Enjoy your drama-free years! ;)

Oh, they must've loved seeing themselves in the game!

Too bad you can't get a copy of it to take home!

Last Day!!!

Kathy

They did love seeing themselves -- Chelsea had it emailed to her account, but I haven't seen it since. I need to ask her if she saved it.

Yes, sadly, we are on our last full day. :sad2:

Wow! That video game looks so cool! Did I read somewhere that somehow you can send it to yourself at home and still play it from home?

I know Chelsea typed in her email address at some point in all of it -- I hope she saved the game!

Poor Chelsea and the red strap. I probably would have reacted the same as a teen but would do the same as you as a mom. :thumbsup2

I never would have forgiven my mother had she pulled something like that on me! :rotfl2:

Love the snacks - especially that you had dessert. :upsidedow

Can't wait to hear about Kim Possible!

I figured since they were out on the bakery shelves...:rolleyes1

Oh, there's always a lot to say about Kim Possible...;)

YUM! Those pastries look delicious! I'm glad Chelsea began to speak to you at least a little bit so that we could see that wonderful pic!

:lmao: Her resolve crumbled when her stomach started growling.

Where's Charles?

I love how mad Chelsea was about the strap! YOu're such a mean mom!

Charles was channeling his inner Sleeping Beauty...

I am a mean mom . I think I am okay with that. ;)

My kids haven't started the not talking to me. My daughter is 13 so she is the right age for it. I think it would be nice to hear silence sometimes.

:lmao::rotfl::rotfl2: Trust me -- Chelsea never gives me the silent treatment when I want it.

If I was in your family I would have been one of the people that had dessert for breakfast!

I am pretty sure I was -- and if not, then I made up for it with the strawberry shortcake at 10:00 in the morning.

Everytime I read one of your AK Lodge updates, I want to reread my #1 Ladies Detective Agency books again.:cloud9: You really took advantage of so much that the AKL has to offer. I love the idea of a story around the fire, and what a beautiful story teller!

When our storyteller said she was from Botswana, I kept myself from blurting out -- that's where Mma Ramotswe lives! I love those books! :lovestruc

I :rotfl: at Chelsea's pout. Amelia does that too. When she wants us to remember that she's not happy with us, heavy sighs, harumphs, and crossed arms ensue.

:lmao: Why, yes, that's exactly what Chelsea does!

Ok, now that I've replied to the second to last update, I'm going to read the latest. I appear to be majorly memory challenged lately.

That's okay!

Ok, isn't it time for a new 9 pound lemon?:rotfl:

I wonder how long those things last???

Glad Chelsea got over her upset with you. No one can stay mad over yummy pastries.:)

Sugar -- never fails to brighten my children's moods! ;)

The video game is too cool! I loved the pics of the kiddos posing, especially Connor on Chelsea's foot. Ouch!

I didn't even notice that!

Oh, and Chelsea's bag is cute. Did she buy it on this trip?

Yes, that was one of the things she bought at the AKL gift shop. She also bought a Safari Minnie.
