Divas, Zebra Domes, and Pixie Dust! A Week in an African Paradise! New TR Link Pg.145

:sad2:, NO, of course NOT...........now what did you ask?? I didn't really hear what you said, but I am sure that the answer must be NO, of course NOT!!! Or if you prefer.......yes, yes, of course YOU are RIGHT!!!!! :rotfl2::lmao:

:lmao: Why that sounds so familiar!

Thanks for the close up photos of the mickey ears. They did a great job putting the caps together. I look forward to the dining report.

Thank you! They had lots of fun with it!

Those are officially too cute! Chelsea's are just perfect for her!
I love that Connor has Goofy right where his name could have gone!:lmao:

I was thinking that, too, about where he put Goofy -- at least he knows he is and seems okay with it. :lmao:

All I gotta say about the custom ears...Cha ching. People were saying that[s not alot of money....but they have to look at the price of regular ears...prolly half that...Disney merchandisers...genius!!!!!!! What a great idea. Just suprised it wasn't thought of sooner.

The hats are great!

My older brother used to get me to spend my whole allowance buying albums HE wanted...how does that happen?

Disney merchandisers are quite creative with ways to get people to spend more money! Look at the new Wishes dessert party -- which I am pretty sure I would do if we were going there anytime soon -- an okay viewing spot and some desserts for $18 a person??? And you can watch them for free anywhere else in the park?

Chelsea is always trying to convince her brother to spend money on things she wants -- she has about a 50% success rate on that. :lmao:

I only have two days left! It has really gone by quickly - the second week was the only one that seemed to sort of drag along.

Hurray! I thought you should be finishing up soon!

How about when you want to talk about you-know-whats, you do that highlight writing that is invisible unless you scroll over it?
Everyone else can read about those submersive tubes of death disguised as a happy Disney ride all they want, and I never have to see it. :)

I am neither a fan of the former ride, nor a fan of remembering the former ride. I did ride the former ride, where I am sure I came quite close to DEATH!

:lmao: Deal -- I will talk about "that ride" with invisible ink from now on. ;)

Yeah, I'm 99% sure a Brooklynn-created ears hat will be on our agenda. We might even do that the first day, since we'll be going to Magic Kingdom to eat at Crystal Palace. We can get a Fastpass for something, since it'll be midday when we get there, see the parade, eat at Crystal Palace, make a hat, ride our ride, do whatever else we decide, and then head back to the room for a reasonably bedtime, since we will have been on a 6:30 a.m. flight.

That sounds like a great beginning to the vacation! I wish I was going back again in 30 days! :goodvibes

Both of your kids did a great job with the ear choosing, by the way. They are both very cute. (Your kids and the hats! :))

One of those times Connor tries to pick Chelsea up, he's going to amaze both of them by accomplishing it. After he realizes he can do it, you will find him practicing often, much to Chelsea's dismay.

Thank you! :goodvibes

I will need video of that for sure.

I will surely try and save all the money I can to have such a nice AK view! I need about three more jobs to do everything I need and want to do. :upsidedow

I need a couple of more jobs as well to fund braces and Disney trips. ::yes::

Can't believe we were there the SAME time and didn't see each other!

:welcome: Cass said you were going to be there AND staying at AKL -- I kept my eyes peeled for you, but never spotted you! I need to head over to your TR and see what mischief -- I mean fun you got into! :lmao:

Love the close-ups of the ears. Chelsea's look very classy and sophisticated and Connor's are very free spirited. I love them both. :)

The ears look awesome and so much fun to make! I've never even noticed that store before. :rolleyes1

Another thing to add to my list for next time. :thumbsup2

Thanks for doing this. My dream is to stay at the AKL. I think I will have to settle for CBR this year.

To whom was she talking and what was the subject? :lmao:

To be totally honest Shocker, I'm not sure.........I think our new buddy Charles has the remote and he hasn't turned the t.v. down yet??? Or will you step in and admit you have control of the remote for him??? I'm not going to.......I have found this thread full of ummmmmmm, sweet, sweet ladies that don't take kindly to me trying to explain us MEN..........so, I don't know where the remote is, I don't know who hid it, I don't know why whoever has it hasn't yet turned the volume down so we can hear what was said, by whoever said it!!!!!! I just don't KNOW!!!!! Though, I am sure whatever was said, was the TRUTH and she was RIGHT!!!! :flower3:

let's just let it go with that Brother and hope that another update comes soon, so we can move on!!!
:rotfl2::lmao::rotfl2:

I wonder if we could book a private Wishes Dessert Party for the Peep Fest in 2012? that would be awesome.

Aww I love Chelsea's ears! I would wear them and I'm like 11 yrs older than her

And Connor's are just the epitome of a 9 yr old boy too :thumbsup2

I'm subscribing! I was at AKL May 15-22. Love your pictures. Mine aren't as nice and bright as yours...kind of rainy while I was there.

Your TR is fabulous - looking forward to reading more.

I LOVE the close up shots of the ears. They are soooooo cute! I MUST have a pair of my own! ;)

Thank you! Yes, they totally did ears that reflect them!

Thank you! Yes, we had a good time with them! The store is right across the way from Tony's.

Thanks for doing this. My dream is to stay at the AKL. I think I will have to settle for CBR this year.

:welcome: I am hoping maybe AKL again on the next trip, but the next best resort for us would be Caribbean Beach -- it's the last moderate that we haven't stayed at.

To whom was she talking and what was the subject? :lmao:

Hmmm, let me think...

Though, I am sure whatever was said, was the TRUTH and she was RIGHT!!!! :flower3:

This would be the correct answer -- I am always right. :rotfl:

:rotfl2::lmao::rotfl2:

The next update (this weekend) will open up a whole new realm of conversation topics -- this one featuring Connor.

I wonder if we could book a private Wishes Dessert Party for the Peep Fest in 2012? that would be awesome.

That would be so cool!!!! That's a meet with potential -- fireworks and dessert and Peeps! :thumbsup2

:rotfl: I would wear them, too, and I am 23 years older than she is. ;)

:welcome: You ran into all that rain, didn't you? Thank you so much for the compliments! :goodvibes

I LOVE the close up shots of the ears. They are soooooo cute! I MUST have a pair of my own! ;)

Making them is half the fun! :thumbsup2

great close ups!! I hadn't realized there were mickey heads on Chelsea's ears!!

Yes, I loved the beanie she chose, but I was kind of surprised that she didn't go with some of the other colors/designs they had -- there was one that was lime green and teal that I was sure she would choose.

Ok-I just read your trippie (so far) and I had to delurk...

Not only did you stay at one of my favorite resorts (ok-I've a soft spot for the Wilderness Lodge also)-but your recounting the relationship between Chelsea and Connor is hitting a little close to home...:rotfl2:

Even though mine have a 7 year difference-Emily is 14 and David is 6 5/6-the 5/6 is extremely important to him...:lmao:

The whole gentle manipulation by the older sister thing is really familiar to me...although I have to say he's getting wiser to it and learning to play his own cards-but for 85% of the time they pretty much have a mutual admiration society-just look out the other 15%...

The ears are too cool-we're going to have to do this when we go in August and stay at the AKL...

Keep on writing-need more trip report...popcorn::

Okay... I go on vacation, and now have 21 pages to read.....

Where was Charles?

Be back with more thoughts. Love you sitting at AKL.... we visited there :rolleyes1

I love the kids' ears. We made them too, but at DTD. There's a place to make them in the t-shirt shop.:thumbsup2

:welcome: I am so glad you are enjoying the trip report!

Animal Kingdom Lodge was my favorite resort before we even stayed there -- now I love it even more! I am already plotting ways to get back there as soon as possible!

Yes, sometimes Connor tries to turn the tables on Chelsea, but it doesn't always work out the way he had planned.

That is so cute about your DS insisting he is 6 and 5/6. :goodvibes

Thanks for the compliments on the ears -- the kids liked doing it!

I am so jealous that you still have your AKL visit ahead of you. :goodvibes

I tried to keep the updates to a minimum while you were gone. ;)

There are only three of them -- I have them linked in the second post -- the rest is just us chattering. :goodvibes

Charles was around -- just not always around where we happened to be. ;)

Isn't Animal Kingdom Lodge the most heavenly place on earth??? Are you going to spill the beans soon or do we all have to live in suspense for awhile?

I love the kids' ears. We made them too, but at DTD. There's a place to make them in the t-shirt shop.:thumbsup2

Thank you! Okay, I wasn't sure there was a place at DtD or not...did all three of your children make ears?

Love love love the view! What a sight. It spoils you, we had that kind of upgrade at WL. The kids ears were cute. I loved looking at them at the store in DTD. We did not make any though... Emily would have loved that!
