Have a wonderful time at the show Sarah! I really liked it but my DH and I still think it will be next to impossible to top Wicked for us.

I Loved the show and had a magical time with my son that I will always cherish! I want to see Wicked sooooooooo bad!

Great!!! We'll be there Nov. 9-14 so we definitely need to meet up a few times! MA is November 12.

HAPPY DANCE!!!!!!! :cool1: Right now I'm planning to be there from the 6th to the 14th--even though I'm not doing MA

Wicked is amazing--I've seen it four times!

We probably need to make an ADR or two, don't we?

Yeah! I am THRILLED that you are going to be there too! What an amazing trip this is going to be!

Yes we do! Where?? When??

Ditto!

Don't forget about me, Beth - I'll be there from Nov 8-13, too!:woohoo:

Just a quick hello from me. Bree & I had a fabulous trip to WDW. We just got back Sunday evening. The last few days were too HOT and humid, but the crowds were fairly low all week. Our favorite thing was the Tea Party at the Grand Floridian. It's such a lovely resort. I want to stay there. ;)

HI and have a good day everyone. :)

Maybe you could take a nap, Beth? I love naps, but rarely take them.
And pixie dust to Wendy on getting her brakes fixed. I am so sorry life is been a bummer lately.

So glad you guys had fun and I am SOOOOO excited that you are going to be there too! So, that is 7 of us then? WOW! Linda, Cheryl, Vicki, Heather, Stacielee, Daisy and Me! Anyone else?

I had my dress fitting for my friends wedding and if I gain an ounce I will not fit in the dress so back on WW as of now! I have 4 1/2 weeks till the wedding so I should be able to get some of it off if I can get back on plan and stay on plan! Ugghh. Anyway, I hope you all are well!

SarahMay

Wendy congrats on the gift card!! That is sweet of you to give it to your mom!! And I am glad you are able to borrow her car! Hope you can get your brakes fixed soon so you are back on the road! I know what you mean about having a staycation here in crappy Sac. There is lots to do AROUND here but not much HERE! And the problem is you have to DRIVE to get to all the good stuff and right now with gas the way it is NOT desirable! My parents have a place in truckee but between the cost of the gas to get up there and then it is SO darn expensive just to EAT anything once we get there (we can't even cook because it is a model home) it is not even worth it. So I feel ya! Got any friends with pools? All else fails you could go lay by their pool and "pretend" you are at a hotel LOL ;) Course that is if it EVER gets warm!! ;)

Beth I know what you mean. When we had Lynn with us it was always tough with 5 trying to get a room. I can only imagine having 6. And actually we did have that quite a bit cuz my mom would often travel with us so we would either have to do the suites or get two rooms. Good luck with whatever you decide to do!!

Jen congrats on the new car!! I really want a new one but alas I don't think I will be getting one anytime soon. Dh still has a payment on his and I was GOING to get one but then gas went up again so I think I will stick with my camry for a bit longer since it's paid for.

Lisa I am glad you had fun at the Rivercats. Katy is going to a game today as a matter of fact. She was a tutor this year at school and as a reward they are taking all the tutors on a field trip. They have to sit on the lawn but it is still a fun day for them. But wouldn't you know it is supposd to rain! I hope it isn't miserable for them!

I really enjoyed watching the finale of Biggest Loser last night and was AMAZED at how great everyone looked. I had to tivo AI and Glee but am looking forward to watching those today and I know most everyone on here is not watching AI anymore but I am still anxious to see the finale tonight. Then mom said she wanted to go see that movie bridesmaids. So tomorrow she and I and a couple other gals may go see that and actually have a gals night. Haven't done that in FOREVER so I hope it works out. I really want to see that movie and I think it will be fun to do that.

Anyway hope everyone has a great day today!!

Good morning, ladies. Happy Hump Day!!

mmm...toothpaste and mustard smoothies....my favorite!
:lmao:

TAG FAIRY!!!! I'm begging you! Hear my plea!! Jen needs to have this as a tag. She wants this as a tag, I just know it. :rolleyes1
Please prove to us you still exist. We still believe in you!! Thank-you! :teeth:

heehee

The storms are awful! Jordan's step mom called & the garage roof was uplifted, their huge tree is now 5 houses down, and they have huge lots in that neighborhood, but she was just thankful that she wasn't still at work then the twister came. She works at jail & didn't want to be stuck there!
Wow, how scary. I was reading here on the DIS that a lady who posts on the WDW section and her husband were both killed in the tornado on Sunday. So sad.

So glad you guys had fun and I am SOOOOO excited that you are going to be there too! So, that is 7 of us then? WOW! Linda, Cheryl, Vicki, Heather, Stacielee, Daisy and Me! Anyone else?
Me, me, me!! :yay: I'll be there!!!

Well, technically I'll only be there in my dreams, but still. :rolleyes1

It's gonna be a fun time for y'all. :wizard:

So tomorrow she and I and a couple other gals may go see that and actually have a gals night. Haven't done that in FOREVER so I hope it works out. I really want to see that movie and I think it will be fun to do that.
I hope it works out for you, Kelly. Sounds like a fun night out!

I love watching the finale of the Biggest loser everyone looked great. It is always such an inspiration to watch it always motivates me if they could do it so can I. I just bought a years membership at a Silent auction fundraiser for $75. I won't have to worry about Gym fees until June 2012 I am able to bring a guest each time I go and my son is already making us a schedule to go.

I have brakes again!!!! :cool1::banana::yay::woohoo::dance3::cheer2:

I read about all your car problems so happy for you that you have brakes:mad::yay:

Hey Divas!

Just noticed something......exactly 9 months from today until our trip!!
:cool1:  :woohoo: It's like waiting for a baby...... :teeth:

yeah can't wait nine more months to save. I have been selling stuff on ebay to take a mini vacation in San Francisco. I have to drive her up for college but I want to go a few days earlier and have some fun. after that I will but it towards my Diva trip:woohoo:

Those going to WDW :cheer2: I plan to go one day.

Hoping the rest of the week goes by fast. Three day weekend and celebrating my sons birthday

Hey girls!

It's been a crappy week at work--colleague drama has gotten the best of me as one of my co-workers and I are driving each other crazy right now. It tends to happen any time my boss is out of the office for more than a few days, but it's annoying nonetheless. Luckily, he is out of the office on Friday and then I'm out all next week and my supervisor comes back the same day that I do, so things should settle down.

Who has ridden Star Tours at this point? I am so excited to ride on Sunday, and I think that we have found a pair of shoes plus gel heel inserts that will help ensure that Ty tops the 40 inch mark! I am also excited to try Tangaroa Terrace on Sunday!

Vacation, all I ever needed, vacation got to get away...!!!

My problem is after I watch that show, I want to lose 100 pounds in 4 months the way they do, and when that doesn't happen, I get frustrated and give up. I need to learn to just aim for 1-2 lbs a week and be happy with that.

Vacation, all I ever needed, vacation got to get away...!!!
Sorry about the colleague drama. That stinks, but luckily your going to your happy place soon!
So glad Ty will get to ride the rides! And make sure you take lots of pics of you, Dave, cutie pie Ty, and of course, the food!!! :thumbsup2

Have a great time on vacation...I can't wait to hear what you think of Star Tours...my dh and ds are soooooo looking forward to trying that! I hope things get better at work soon. I know how awful it can be to work with people that are difficult to get along with.

UPDATE for those of you who went on the 2nd Diva trip. My coworker, Heather, is still trying to get pregnant but the doctors are saying it is just a matter of time and that everything still looks great for her to be able to conceive. She has been working at it for a year and a half so far but has had some lousy luck so hopefully things are on the upswing for her.

It is raining here and feels cosy. Of course it was also so cold today that I was bummed I hadn't brought my winter coat to work! Where is spring? Where is summer?

Later,
SarahMay

Thanks for that update. I remember Heather! She was really nice. I hope that things work out for her.

Oh my gosh that is awful! These storms are just crazy!
Aren't they?? I can't imagine. And it's still early in the tornado season too.

Tell your friend ,heather, do not give up. We tried for over 5 years all the while taking fertility drugs. I had given up-- I guess so no added pressure -- but wouldn't you know it, yep we were going to have a baby. The Dr.s nurse did the test 3 times-- just to make sure she was right. We were over the moon to say the least.

Anyway wish her GL for me -- My baby now has babies of her own.

Diva want to be -- Patty

Morning all!

First of all YAY!!! To Wendy for getting your brakes fixed!! I am so glad you were able to get it done so quickly and are back on the road!

Monica I so know what you mean about BL. This is the first year I have watched it and at the beginning of the year when I started watching I was dieting myself but this year I have had a heck of a time myself and am not really doing it right now. I have dieted several times and ALWAYS managed to lose but this time I have had NO luck for some reason. Not really sure why and it has been EXTREMELY frustrating to me. Once I really buckled down and worked out and watched what I ate I ALWAYS lost but for some reason this time I COULD not lose and I am still not sure why not. So it was pretty frustrating esp to watch how great they did but I still wanted to keep watching becuase I really got to like the people on the show and see their stories and I was so happy for Hannah and Olivia and really all of them! I am hoping that eventually I will be able to get back on the wagon myself! Good luck to you with your gym membership!!

Beth that is so sad about the people on the boards being killed! We actually had a bunch of Tornadoes here in CA yesterday. They were actually up near where Jodi lives if you can believe that. About an hour from here. Luckily they weren't nearly as bad as the ones they had back east but still it is really weird for us to get them here and I guess they did a bunch of damage to crops and such. We had rain here and they had snow up in the mountains. REALLY crazy weather but I am hoping it will FINALLY be over soon!

Poor Katy went to her baseball game yesterday and they got there early and they got absolutely drenched and then after all that they cancelled the game anyway LOL. So she was pretty bummed. Now today her and Shelby both have their trip to the community pool for being citation free all year. It is only half day but it is still pretty chilly. It is only supposed to get to a high of 70 which probably won't happen till late in the afternoon and they are only supposed to be at the pool from 9-11 so I think they are going to be popsicles but hey they are kids so I am sure they won't care ;). As long as it isn't raining again hopefully they will have fun! :) Then tonight the olympic swimmer guy is going to be back at the pool again. They get to have him train them 4 times before he leaves for his european tour next month. So it is a pretty nice deal for them. He was there last week and then again tonight so that will be nice for them.

And barring any issues I am going with mom and some friends to the movie!! I am pretty excited!

Then this weekend we are going to see Pirates for Shane's birthday and on Monday we are taking the girls to the SF Zoo. So I am really excited for the weekend. Should be pretty fun! Will be nice to have a break from swim and also to do some fun stuff!

Hope everyone has a GREAT day and has some fun plans for the long weekend!!

Good morning, ladies.
I am seriously dragging this morning. It's been getting hotter here, but not hot enough for me to turn on my A/C full time yet. The problem is, at night when we have everything locked up and the alarm on, it gets really hot with no breeze!! It makes it hard for me to sleep, so I spend the night tossing and turning. And in the morning......I am not a happy camper.

Oh well.

How is everyone doing? Any fun plans for the long weekend?? :cool1: (Kelly, your weekend sounds fun!! Enjoy your girls night out and POTC!)

Mel, where are you? I bet you are happy about last night's AI! :goodvibes

Well, have a good day, ladies. TTYL!

Hi Ladies!
Survived HUMP day. Yeah! Is it just me or does anyone elses life feel like they are running a marathon? If I can make it to June 17th, I will cross the finish line and be on vacation in Yellowstone. Despite the fact that I am missing Disney desperately, I am excited for this trip. I have been doing a lot of research so we can see as many aniimals as possible, as well as all the natural wonders in the park.

I had to laugh at Kelly's description of baseball game being cancelled. Last night was our second to last game. It had rained all day, and at 5 there was a brief break, so my husband the coach went to the field to check it out. I was expecting him to call the game off, but no. He spend 40 minutes with a sponge and bucket drying off the field. Game on! When I showed up we rigged the big blue tarp over the dugout so the kids would stay dryish. When I went over to the other team to get their line up I got to give them a hard time. Didn't you bring your tarp? What are you? From California?? It was pretty fun. Actually the other coach is a friend of ours, and they are from California, as are 3 of their families and another family from Florida. They wanted to call the game and asked us to several times, but our team wanted to play, like true northwesterners:) It was fun, says this Mom who went to the car and turned the heater on in the 3rd inning.

Have a great day!
Tracey

Lol Tracey! That's funny!

I know when I used to live up there you pretty much HAVE to do stuff in the rain or else you don't do ANYTHING right? ;) If you waited for a clear day you may NEVER leave your house! LOL.

Actually I don't know why they call the games for rain cuz being a soccer and swim mom we have to do BOTH no matter what. I have sat under many pop-ups during REALLY ugly storms for soccer and have YET to see a game called for rain and the ONLY time they call a swim meet for rain is if it is accompanied by thunder or lightening.

I guess these semi pro atheletes are just too spoiled eh? LOL. Although I do have to say it was not just a "little" rain yesterday it was a downpour. So I do have to say that it would have been pretty hard to play in that but I just wish they would have figured it out before they had the kids sit in that mess for 3 hours and get soaked to the skin. I just don't want Katy getting pneumonia before our trip! ;)

And hey I don't blame ya for heading to the car and the heater! I just went and bought myself some nice cozy blankies for swim meets. Got sick of freezing my patooty off!! ;)

Hey everyone, long time no see!

I've been busy with, well, with everything.

I'm all done with my masters program. All that's left now is to receive my diploma and actually find and be hired for a teaching job. Hmmmmmm, a teaching job?....Miracles can happen, right? :goodvibes

I still volunteer at the school I did my student teaching at. Today I get to see my first graders perform their musical, "Rumpus in the Rainforest". I am so excited! It is going to be CUTE! :cutie: :cheer2:

And then of course it's baseball 4-5 nights a week around here. I'm telling you, I live in baseball insanity. I eat, sleep, cook, clean, blah blah blah all revolved around baseball. :crazy2:

I think Ryan, my oldest, has a broken pinky finger. Poor kid never even mentioned it. Justin and I just happened to notice a big lump sticking up on the top of his pinky when we were tucking the boys into bed Monday night. He said it happened last week. He never tells us when he gets hurt. I hate that. :sad2:

And I'm starting to feel that Disneyland vacation tickle starting again. I'm afraid to even look at airfare, and yet, I gotta look - haha! :rolleyes1

Miss all of you!

You can do it! Hang in there!! :cheer2:
It sounds like it's going to be an awesome trip. I love Disney, no doubt about that. But I definitely think it's important to get back to nature now and then.

Miss all of you!
Capri! :yay: Good to see you!
Have fun at the musical today. Good luck surviving all things baseball, lol. And I hope poor Ryan's finger is on the mend soon. :wizard:

Have a super wonderful time!

I've been bitten by the baby bug. I have baby fever, but I just am in no place to have one right now.

Hi Capri! Good luck on finding a job and I hope Ryan's finger gets better soon!

Hiya Seester! Hi to Beth, Tracey, Kelly, Patty and Monica too, and anyone else watching the thread. :magnify:

I hope everyone is having a wonderful day! :goodvibes

I bought the $1 a can cat food once too Lisa, and I agree, it smelled pretty darn good!:upsidedow Are you finished with jury duty? Can you tell us anything about the case?

Oh, yeah. I was only in for that one week. It was a DUI case. Prescription medication. Which they couldn't prove he was "under the influence" of. The amount in his system was 1/4 of the LOW END of the "therapeutic range". Even the tox expert the DA used said there was no way he could say that the guy's driving would have been impaired. He hit a parked car and a garbage can. Nobody was injured, including him. The second part was that in order to find him guilty of DUI (and it was a misdemeanor, not a felony DUI), we also had to determine that he drove, KNOWING HE WAS IMPAIRED - ie "wrongful intent". They never even broached the subject of his intent. Unfortunately, we had one juror who wanted to lock the guy up for life for having a TRACE of a prescription medication still in his system and we had to be unanimous EITHER way. So we spent a WHOLE DAY trying to get her to explain to us HOW she felt that he was CERTAINLY IMPAIRED ****AND**** had wrongful intent. She kept saying it was because he "failed the drug test". Oh my stars. I finally managed to word the question to her the right way and she said, "Oh, you mean we have to think that he KNEW WHAT HE WAS DOING and that it was WRONG? Oh, I don't think he thought that". DING DING DING! QUICK! FILL OUT THE VERDICT FORM BEFORE SHE CHANGES HER MIND! Of course, this happened at almost 4PM on Thursday, so we had to come back on Friday to deliver the verdict. Bleh. SO glad that's DONE. What a colossal waste of taxpayer money. The DA didn't come CLOSE to doing their job and that NEVER should have gone to court the way it was.
