I hope everyone has a great day. We are getting ready to dye eggs pretty soon. Should be fun.
I made some banana bread this morning from scratch and baked it in a mini bundt cake pan instead of a loaf pan, then sprinkled them with powdered sugar. I think they came out cute!

Nothing like the smell of fresh baked banana bread to start the weekend off right. :cloud9:

Later!!

Stacie I remember Nanny & the Professor!!

Addy has her 2nd t-ball game today, then nothing on the books.....yay!!

Coloring eggs tonight & then a quiet Easter tomorrow. Mike works until 4pm, so we'll probably do a ham dinner when he gets home.

Have a great weekend & HOPPY EASTER!!!

How about Green Acres, Petticoat Junction, Flying Nun, Julia, F-Troop, Monkees, & Mr. Ed !!

I think you just ran down the whole nick at nite line-up LOL

How about Bewitched and I dream of Jeanie!

Just got back from seeing African Cats. My favorite of the DisneyNature films so far. But I love the big cats so maybe that has something to do with it!

Rochelle - So how many Buzz's is that now, lol. Darn my store for no longer having TS. I would try others in the area but the nearest Disney Store requires a bridge toll and that's just not going to work right now, lol.

Hey now, someone mentioned I Dream of Jeannie. Little family fact, my gradnmother went to school with Barbara Eden.

For some reason, I was not a fan of Bo and Luke. :confused3 But I did watch Love Boat! I had a crush on Gopher. LOL Yes, I was a bit "boy crazy" when I was growing up. :rotfl:

I liked the Duke boys but it grew to a true crush on Bo when I was about 14 and I was at a friend's slumber party and down the street comes the General Lee with Bo & Luke inside to have cake with us! Her Dad was a character actor that had worked on DOH for a few episodes and got them to come as part of her birthday present.

Did anyone watch Gidget? I loved that show. And then they came out with the new Gidget which was just okay.

Yep I remember those too... Loved the movies and Sally Field as Gidget on TV...

I hope everyone has a great day. We are getting ready to dye eggs pretty soon. Should be fun.

True fan of Banana Bread! Yesterday we made Banana Bread Pancakes with Strawberries on top for brunch really good! Yours in the little bundt pans are adorable and they would be so easy to store in ziplock bags (If they lasted that long!

Loved those!! Why can't I twitch my nose and make my house all clean like Samantha could?? ;)

I would happily do the rest if I could just twitch me nose or nod my head at the dishes the laundry and the dog hair on the sofa.

:flower1:Happy Easter:flower1: Know it's a day early but probably won't be on-line tomorrow.
Love the yummy looking baked items. I bought a lemon meringue for tomorrow. It's not that I don't like to bake but my kitchen is so small I didn't want to deal with baking.

This is the song that never ends,
yes it goes on and on my friend.
Some people started singing it,
not knowing what it was,
and they'll continue singing it forever just because...

I was singing a different version of this on Wed

This is the line that never ends
It goes on and on my friends.

When waiting in line for Toy Story. That line is always so long compared to the other lines. It was 45 minutes and we were waiting for our soarin FP before we went back to Disneyland. (toy story and soarin are my favorites at DCA) TOT was only 25 minutes without a FP. It was a good day:yay:

Vinylamations are so cute. I have a couple scattered around the house. I can't add more stuff to my house I am trying to clean stuff out (Yard sale in two weeks) But then I saw some cases on ebay that hang on the wall that holds 24 (maybe I will collect 24 and they will all be in one place on the wall won't take up too much room)

I don't have cable but a new chanel starte showing up and called Antana TV and has a bunch of old shows on it. Today I saw Gidget, Flying Nun, Partridge Family, All in the Family, Maude. (other days there is threes company, the monkees, sanford and son, good times)

Hope everyone is having a great weekend Monday will be here before we know it.

Stacie- Thanks for the offer but I just got the Cookie Jar one from that series :) I did pull the 10th one from a blind box trade in the park but I traded it away in DStreet yesterday. :) I'm not sure which ones I want since I just started collecting. I don't know all the characters. :rotfl:

There are a couple people who want to trade with me. They said they would e-mail pics since they only had a couple of vinyls with them. I didn't know that Ursula was so popular for the Villain series. I should bring her to the park next time to see what the other collectors have.

Jessica- that's so weird that your Disney Store doesn't carry it! I see them at all of my local Disney Stores. I do see a lot of smooshed boxes though because people are trying to feel for Buzz. I have 8 total. lol

Beth- those cakes look really delicious!

My store carried them before I got into collecting but since I got into them in January they have had one single shipment in of the Toy Story series -- That's 1 case total. and it was while I was down there for the trip. I came back and they were gone again and have no idea if they'll ever be getting more and when that might be if they did. They sold out super duper fast. I may just have to give up on getting him at this point.

I'm glad to hear a good review for it. My twins would probably love it!

How cool is that!! I bet she was really popular after that. lol

I had a huge love for Starsky & Hutch!!!

OMG, check out those awesome clothes! :rotfl2:

Happy early Easter to you too, Monica.
I love, love, love to bake (and to eat it too unfortunately!!!!) but for some reason I haven't tackled pies. :confused3 Other than pumpkin of course which is super easy. I've even made cheesecake but not pie. I should do that.
In the meantime, for tomorrow I bought a banana cream pie and apple pie for the kids. Like they really needed more sugar with all the goodies they'll get in their baskets!

Went to Disneyland today and it wasn't bad at all!!! We were only there for 3 hours but we were able to ride 6 rides plus eat lunch at Hungry Bear in that time. Not bad.

I hope everyone has a great day. We are getting ready to dye eggs pretty soon. Should be fun.

[SIZE="3"Yep, I remember all those shows-- I was a bit older for some of those but still watched now and then.

Ok now who remembers National Velvet-- I think it came on every Sunday or Sat night. Not the movie but the TV program. I forget who played Velvet in the TV Production. What about the Real McCoy's and Grandpa.

I sure hope I still get to come to Diva's Weekend. I don't want people thinking you all run an old folks home :). My Disney Heart is young, just my body is old. My brain even sometimes forgets I am not 25 anymore-- so sad. Word -up "Stay young at heart for as long as possible."

I wish for you all a wonderful Easter. Gotta go get Bunny Baskets ready for the grandkids. Yep Easter Bunny stops and Grandma's to :).

Hippy Hoppy Happy Easter You All

Looks really yummy! I have a bunch of bananas...hmmm...

Wow, only 7 more days. Hope you have a wonderful vacation in San Diego. Some of the folks at a different website were talking about this place.

http://www.valleyviewcasino.com/Dining/buffet.aspx

Free Lobster Buffett in San Diego, when you join the players club. Kid friendly. The reviews are really good.

I hope you all have a wonderful easter.

I want that hat!!! You can keep the vinyl - just let me pitch in for those ears :rotfl:

We spent the morning at our church egg hunt co-hosted by Chik-fil-a. There were 20,000 eggs filled with candy, prize tickets, and food coupons. Between my kids we came home with a slew of toys, 19 free sodas (plus a 12 pack of Mello Yellow from Coca Cola who was there), 11 free ice creams, 3 waffle fries, 5 kids meals, and 2 brownies! Looks like I know where we will be stopping when we need a quick bite of food! :rotfl: Some kids won razor scooters, basketballs, and one kid won a years supply of chik-fil-a!!!

We came home and dyed eggs and have been relaxing. Tahoe gets to stay home with me this year for Easter since his dad's side of the family is all spread out for the holiday. BTW...his gma called me last week to let me know that my son's dad is now homeless. Awesome. I guess this means I need to go over to the courthouse and push for full custody. I don't mind Tahoe going up to visit when they stay at his grandparent's house, but otherwise, it is just not safe. So sad. He is not even trying to get a job, vehicle or place to live. Back when we dated he was so handsome and ambitious...not a trace of that left anymore:sad2:

Well, if I do not get on tomorrow, Happy Easter!!! I am looking forward to spending the day with both my kiddos for once!
In case I don't get on tomorrow, Happy Easter ladies!!!

Now I'm having flash backs of "Facts of Life" ;).
:lmao:
Another great show.
"You take the good, you take the bad, you take 'em both and there ya have the facts of life....." And you have a very, very young George Clooney!

I sure hope I still get to come to Diva's Weekend. I don't want people thinking you all run an old folks home :). My Disney Heart is young, just my body is old.
A young heart is all you need! :goodvibes

Thanks. I'll take a peek at it. We are already pretty planned out though, so who knows. I was going to not over plan this trip and keep it simple..... :rolleyes1 Yeah right. I don't know how to not plan! lol
ETA: Oops, I just reread it and saw the lobster part. EEK!! No seafood will be passing these lips. ;)

That's too bad. I'm sorry to hear that Jen. He'll be the one missing out. :sad2:
On the other hand, enjoy your day with the kiddos!! And sounds like you really scored at Chik-fil-A! :thumbsup2

Well, I have no clue what time I will be on tomorrow. It's going to be a busy morning, so I will take this time now to wish you all a Happy Easter. Enjoy time spent with family and friends.

Jen, I am so sorry for you and your son.
This happens way to often. My heart breaks for your son. I hope there is another man in your sons life. Anyone can be a father but it takes a real man to be a daddy. This makes being a mommy so much harder.

Honestly it might have been better if the grandma had not told your son.

I am very lucky to have a "family man" for a son-in-law. He did not have a very loving family life growing up-- his mother is still -- well strange. He is, with professional help, realizing he did not make her like she is -nor can he change her. The good thing is he never let his childhood dictate how he would treat his kids. No one leaves the front door with out a kiss and an I love you. Oh, ya hugs to :).

Ya, I am one of those huggers when I greet friends. It makes me happy to let family and friends know I value their friendship.

Anyway, Jen from your posts seems you are doing a great job with son. :)

Thinking of you and son,

Patty

PS Have a Hopity Easter Miss Easter Bunny Helper!

Tomorrow morning is going to be busy so I prob won't be on til afternoon..Once that ham is in the oven I may get a few minutes to put my feet up LOL

So Everybody enjoy your families and enjoy your Easter!

Nighty Night!

Hey anyone remember Tony Orlando and Dawn LOL. Tie a Yellow Ribbon round the Old Oak Treeee! ;)
My DH and I went to a taping of his show and it was really fun. Jose Faliseano (spelling wrong of course) was the guest.

I watch TVland all the time but they are showing less of the really old shows that I love like Leave It To Beaver, Father Knows Best and Dobie Gillis. I also loved The Addams Family.
