P.S. Trudi, those look delish!!!!! You don't layer them, right? Just sort of let the colors all mix together? The recipe I have calls for them to be layered, and it takes forever.... ugh.

:tiptoe:
:sunny:
^ haha, walking on sunshine (I'm so easily entertained).

:lmao: :rotfl2: :rotfl: :thumbsup2

Well, there's a lot of sun here, baby!!

Bright light city gonna set my soul
Gonna set my soul on fire
Got a whole lot of money that's ready to burn,
So get those stakes up higher
There's a thousand pretty women waitin' out there
And they're all livin' devil may care
And I'm just the devil with love to spare
Viva Las Vegas, Viva Las Vegas

Trudi, yay for getting your sig back!!! You went all gangster on them, didn't you? :thumbsup2

These are some pics Ruben and I took the night we went out. For some reason, we never take very many, but we did get a few.

This was in the Bellagio conservatory. It's a "painting" but it's made up of cut flowers. So pretty! They said it's redone every morning to keep it fresh and colorful.

This is also inside the Bellagio. They have their summer theme up and it's so pretty!
DSCN0525.jpg

There was a full moon out that night and Ruben snapped this shot of it over the Venetian. It looked a lot cooler in person, but I still like this pic.

Alrighty, TTYL!

:cool1: :yay: Ok, so who here lives in or near Vegas? Greg and I might drive down to Vegas tonight and stay for the whole weekend. :yay: :cool1: I'll know for sure in about an hour. Anyone want to meet up? Beth...?

Also, don't worry, I will post my Easter goodies on the exchange thread before I leave... I know I have been bad.

Trudi, yay for getting your sig back!!! You went all gangster on them, didn't you? :thumbsup2

!

Just about !

The cupcakes took forever because I divide the batter up into 6 bowls, dye each one and then fill the cake liners spoonful by spoonful. About 4 spoonfills of each color in each. I only make them once a year.

Love your pictures !

Anybody who wants one will have to come to my town and get one ! Only 6 left !

/
I'm back !!! My siggie that is. It pays to get tough.:thumbsup2
I loved all the tv shows that have been mentioned.
The variety shows were my familys favorites. Smothers Brothers was so good and Glen Campbells show too. I miss good television.
Here are my cupcakes unfrosted
eastercupcakes001.jpg

Why frost them they looked super yummy before you frosted them.wgy cover up all that work..but the frosted ones are gorgeous too!

I sort of vaguely remember those. I also loved watching BJ and the Bear. (I had a crush on BJ)
I remember watching shows like Buck Rogers in the 21st Century (I had a crush on Buck Rogers), Wonder Woman, Charlie's Angels, Fantasy Island, Simon and Simon (I had a crush on the blond one), The A-team, and Murder She Wrote. All great shows!! And lots of cute guys. LOL

OMG, Gilligan rocks!!! :cool1:
Just sit right back and you'll hear a tale.....

Why isn't there good quality shows like that on anymore?? :happytv:

Loved all of those! Many for the same eye candy reasons LOL but what about Bo & Luke Duke? Let's add Dukes of Hazard to that list and if you watched Fantasy Island you must have watched the Love Boat too they were back to back!

I'm doing the R&R Half on June 5th in San Diego. Are doing the full or half?

If I can get signed up in time, I will be doing the half. I was supposed to run the full, but I have not had much time to train for the extra miles. Money is tight so we will see what the next few weeks bring.

Trudi~ Those cupcakes look mighty delicious!

Aww, cheer up! :teeth:

You know I can't smile without you
I can't smile without you
I can't laugh and I can't sing
I'm finding it hard to do anything
You see I feel sad when you're sad
I feel glad when you're glad
If you only knew what I'm going through
I just can't smile without you!!!

Come on now...NO MAKING FUN OF BARRY!!! I love him too much!:lovestruc
I just wish his ticket prices weren't so crazy high. I saw him in 1979 and would love to see him again. :lovestruc

Love your pics, Beth. The Bellagio is awesome. We stayed there for a friend's wedding a few years back and then I toured it again with you and the Diva girls trip in 2009 and it does not disappoint! So many beautiful things to see.

Trudi ~ Those cupcakes look devine. Absolutely devine. I wish I could claim one. :upsidedow

PS - Add me to the list of those who do not run. Evah. *sigh*

I remember LaughIn. All too well. ;)
All the characters and scenes you mentioned, plus the military guy that always said "verrrry interesting!" And they always said "sock it to me" and various things would be flung at them. Usually water. And crazy JoAnne Whirley. And the dance scenes where they had flowers, drawings and writing all over their bodies? Goldie Hawn was in a lot of those scenes. Kind of like todays version of tattoos everywhere only they washed off!

We also regularly watched The Smothers Brothers. They were very good and funny. I heard their show was pulled for being politically incorrect. Can you imagine in todays world how tame it would all be perceived? Kelly, we loved Dean Martin, too. And Bandstand and Flipper and Get Smart and Family Affair. So many good shows back then.

Anyway, we get off work early today. Am really looking forward to spending Easter with Cheryl and her friends. :goodvibes

Happy Friday Everyone.

Love all of those shows! Who remembers Nanny & the Professor? I think it was on after Brady Bunch or Partridge Family.

The finished product. They were a big hit with the kids.
eastercupcakes003.jpg

Those are soooo cool!!!

Morning all and happy day before easter!!

Oh my gosh Tudi those cupcakes look delish! Looks like a LOT of work though and hence why I do NOT bake! I always joke that I am the mom at school that BUYS the goodies of course now you HAVE to anyway (sad). But wow those are awesome!!

And Beth I love your pics as well. Gosh SOMEDAY I want to get back to vegas!! I know I know I say that about everything but geez now with the airfare skyrocketing my travel plans are going to get EVEN more limited I'm afraid.

I am getting more and more afraid about our Oct trip now. It was pretty set but every time I look at airfare it just keeps getting worse and since we have our June trip coming up and then mom and I have our trip to OR neither of us have any money to devote to Oct so we can't even THINK about tickets or anything till prob August or Sept and it may be too late by then. I REALLY want to go but these prices are insane. It costs almost as much right now to fly to LA as we were paying to fly to FL and that is just ridiculous and NOT worth it esp since we were only going to go for a long weekend!

I told mom it would be different if we were going for a whole week then we could have driven or even maybe justified the airfare but even still we go to DL so often that I can't really justify those prices. For Florida it is more of a rare thing and we only go every few years but that is just insane. Plus we really want to do the ladies trip and if it comes down to it that will probably win out. I HATE to give up Oct but you can't do everything. It is not a def no yet but it is not looking good.

Love remembering about all the old shows and yes I LOVED watching wonderful world of Disney on Sunday nights. I have to say that was probably one of my all time favs! And yes I would watch wild kingdom and then that EVERY sunday! Also later in the 80's would watch love boat and then fantasy island, chips, Dukes of Hazard all of them.

Hey anyone remember Tony Orlando and Dawn LOL. Tie a Yellow Ribbon round the Old Oak Treeee! ;) I agree they had much better shows back then of course we only HAD 3 channels to watch too!

Today we are going to get eggs for the girls to dye and then tomorrow they are going to hunt for them. My girls really love hard boiled eggs so we still do it. I don't know how much longer we will be doing the hunts but for now they still like it so we are keeping up with it for now. Looks like it will just be us and mom and dad tomorrow.

Hope everyone has something fun planned for today and tomorrow. Have a good one!

Stacie I remember Nanny & the Professor!!

Addy has her 2nd t-ball game today, then nothing on the books.....yay!!

Coloring eggs tonight & then a quiet Easter tomorrow. Mike works until 4pm, so we'll probably do a ham dinner when he gets home.

Have a great weekend & HOPPY EASTER!!!

How about Green Acres, Petticoat Junction, Flying Nun, Julia, F-Troop, Monkees, & Mr. Ed !!

Good morning ladies! Happy Saturday! I woke up this morning wondering what day it was. :rotfl: I guess I forgot what a 3-day weekend felt like! :rotfl: I went to DL yesterday and DCA. It was so fun for me and it did help to just de-stress and enjoy the parks.

First thing I did was got off the tram and went into WOD. I checked out and saw a case of Toy Story vinyls with a couple boxes left. I bought one and opened it and laughed because it was another Buzz!

221992_10150219602051639_746751638_8258601_3424982_n.jpg

The CM was shocked and said: "OMG! Lots of people are looking for him!" I ended up pulling 3 Buzz Lightyear Vinyls yesterday. One was from WOD, the 2nd was from Off the Page in DCA and the 3rd was from WOD again before I left. I saw that WOD had a new case of Toy Story vinylmations and only 4 boxes were missing. I chose one and it was Buzz. :rotfl: Now I have 8 of them! So crazy! I posted pics on a Disney site and 3 people want to trade with me. I'm waiting for them to e-mail me pics of their vinyls.

I went to DStreet and did some trades with nice people outside the store. I noticed that vinyl traders are so much more approachable and friendly compared to all the random pin traders I have met. :confused3 I think I just had bad encounters with grouchy/rude people when I tried to trade pins, so I just trade with CM's for those.

I got the 3 bottom vinyls in the pic from trades with people:

I really like them and they are so cute. One guy gave me a Swedish Chef and the Pink Punk Rock one for my Jesse. Then another couple gave me their Donut vinyl for my Woody. It was fun and they were really friendly. They looked like they were teenagers and they had so many vinyls! I was amazed!

BTW, Jessica- where do they get those cases to store them for trades? I was wondering and forgot to ask.

I got a fairy godmother and that dizzy looking vinyl from trading in the parks. I was told that my FG is missing a wand! I didn't even know she had one. :sad1: Oh well, I figure I could always try to make my own wand for her. :)

I also got this vinyl mickey ears set. I really wanted it and thought it was really cute. It came with a vinyl figure and a bonus mystery one (the tiny one). Here is a pic:

I don't think I will buy any more Toy Story vinyls. I think I'm all BUZZed from all the Buzz!

While walking in DCA, 2 guys stopped me and asked if they could see my backpack. They were arguing whether or not it was an Ewok or Chewbacca. lol. I thought that was funny! Here is a pic:

148071_c_img.jpg

I got stopped by CM's and guests and asked where I got it or that they wanted my backpack. :teeth:

Hope you all have a great day. I'm so excited because my older sister is heading down here from SD and she is bringing the pupster Bryson! :yay:

Rochelle! You certainly have some luck pulling those Buzz's! I think Jessica (Belle Ella) is in need of one! Maybe she has something you need?

I still don't get the VM. I think hubby would kill me if I started collecting them lol.

Hey Rochelle!! I'm not sure if I have any VM you would want, I have the Urban Series #3 set and also a Toy Story Rex if you want to trade for a Buzz.

Here's the Urban set:

I have an extra one of #10 in that picture.

Good morning, ladies!! :sunny: Happy Saturday. I woke up full of energy so I went downstairs cleaned, baked and started laundry. Now, I'm ready for a nap. LOL

:cool1: :yay: Ok, so who here lives in or near Vegas? Greg and I might drive down to Vegas tonight and stay for the whole weekend. :yay: :cool1: I'll know for sure in about an hour. Anyone want to meet up? Beth...?
Oh, man!! I would've loved to meet up with you!! Wish I'd seen this sooner. Bummer. Well, hopefully you've made it out here ok. Weather should be great this weekend!! Sunny, but not too hot. Next time, PM me and we can exchange numbers and make some plans. That would be fun. :)
Enjoy your time here!

Loved all of those! Many for the same eye candy reasons LOL but what about Bo & Luke Duke? Let's add Dukes of Hazard to that list and if you watched Fantasy Island you must have watched the Love Boat too they were back to back!
For some reason, I was not a fan of Bo and Luke. :confused3 But I did watch Love Boat! I had a crush on Gopher. LOL Yes, I was a bit "boy crazy" when I was growing up. :rotfl:

Come on now...NO MAKING FUN OF BARRY!!! I love him too much!:lovestruc
I just wish his ticket prices weren't so crazy high. I saw him in 1979 and would love to see him again. :lovestruc
No worries, I'm a Fanilow myself!! We've seen him twice since we moved here, once at the Hilton and once at Paris. I get free tickets for him all the time through our House Seats membership. The problem is, we don't really know in advance. One of these days I'm going to call you in the morning and tell you to hop in the car and be here by 7:30 so I can take you to see him! :thumbsup2

Love all of those shows! Who remembers Nanny & the Professor? I think it was on after Brady Bunch or Partridge Family.
 I don't think I've heard of that one.

My kids love doing the egg hunts, but we don't use the real eggs. We use the plastic ones and I fill them with quarters and candy. We have over 200 eggs just for us. That's a lot to fill! LOL
Enjoy your day.

How about Green Acres, Petticoat Junction, Flying Nun, Julia, F-Troop, Monkees, & Mr. Ed !!
Did anyone watch Gidget? I loved that show. And then they came out with the new Gidget which was just okay.

First thing I did was got off the tram and went into WOD. I checked out and saw a case of Toy Story vinyls with a couple boxes left. I bought one and opened it and laughed because it was another Buzz!
Yay, the Buzz army grows!

I still don't get the VM. I think hubby would kill me if I started collecting them lol.
:rotfl2: Mine too. Not that he'd mind if I was really into them, but he might think it a bit odd.
