Just to bring in a little more trip planning, I was thinking about the shirts and I really miss the tie-dye :hippie: I found one that I think everyone would be happy with - it has a little something for everyone :thumbsup2 No matter what color you like, there you go!

Nice, right :confused3

I totally love this. Do you make them? I have dyes, and I've seen the instructions, but I'm scared I would mess it up.....

Things have been really crazy here. I have been having problems lately with my fiance. Ever since I got full custody of Madelyn he has been extremely controlling and very verbally abusive. <snip> Well, I ended things with him this weekend. I broke off our engagement. <snip> I KNOW I did the right thing.

Hope I didn't dampen the mood. :flower3:

Hugs.... and good for you for having the strength to get out NOW. From personal experience, once the verbal starts, often the physical isn't far behind...

Just looked outside - what is that strange yellow object in the sky?? :confused3

Oh wait, now I remember:

:sunny:

Coco has been in the window sill much of the past two days, soaking it up.

My seedlings in the kitchen window can now be transplanted outside this week! YAY! I have basil, oregano, parsley and Texas Bluebonnets growing in jiffy peat pellets in the window and they are maxed out size wise, but it's been too nasty to plant them!

Love it. ;) And once again, that would make a perfect tag for you.......if only the tag fairy still loved us..... :sad1:

lol I would love a spankin new tag! :rotfl: Maybe if all the divas did a dance like in the Tikki room, it will summon the Tag Fairy to us (minus the rain

)! :teeth:

Plus I don't know if you know (if you have AT&T) but they are now putting a cap on usage and you can only get 150 megabytes a month which really isn't that much if you have your computer on all the time and get atuoupdates and such. And for us we have netflix that streams through our computer which we are going to have to get rid of and on and on. I am so bummed but all the other internet companies are double AT&T and even comcast is putting a cap on theirs. It is a ripoff that's for sure.

We have ATT and haven't heard anything about this. Is this Uverse or DSL?

Getting to experience WDW through the eyes of newbies = Priceless!!! Can't wait...can you tell I'm excited?
:thumbsup2:cool1::banana::dance3::yay::woohoo: :rotfl::cheer2::grouphug:

I got to do that in the Fall last year. Of course, I'd only been to WDW twice and never to AK, but my friend that went with me when DH couldn't go had NEVER been to ANY Disney park, EVER (FAINT). It was a lot of fun!

I'm pretty worried about what I will wear, too. Naples is a very ritzy town, so I'm sure it will be somewhat formal. And, as far as I know, I'm the only Mormon and will most likely be really covered-up and modestly dressed. I just don't want to look like a grandma. I need to have my shoulders covered and something down all the way to the knees... here's the cutest thing I could come up with:
reuniondress.gif

but, in navy blue...

:scared1:I'm freaking out!!

I would think when Prom season kicks into gear you should be able to find some dressy stuff? Do you know anyone that sews? What about bridal stores? Can the shoulders be covered by lace or does it have to be fully opaque fabric?

I have a high school reunion this September, but it sure aint my 10th! LOL!

Welcome back to all those getting back from WDW and for those leaving today, have a great time!! party:

After my last trip 2 1/2 years ago, I felt like I had enough for awhile but all this talk is getting me wanting to go again. Maybe if there is another trip later this year....although Mike said something recently about wanting to go to Disney again so I suppose I will have to bring him on one of my trips sometime! My son-in-law who is from Anaheim is talking about taking the family to DLR next summer so maybe then.

Hello Carol, Rochelle, Patty, Linda, Trudi, Lisa, Sherri and anyone else who recently posted! :)

Just popping in to say hello! Getting ready for dinner, kids are finishing up homework and then we rented Open Season 3 and Love and Other Drugs.

Marie, I just wanted to say what the others have basically said already and that is not to stress over it. I was shocked at how people had changed.....some of the hot guys were going bald! And some of the hot girls were a bit heavy. It just happens over time especially once people get busy working, having kids, and such. No biggie.
And I have to say, you would probably look great in just about anything you wear. :thumbsup2

TTYL ladies!

Yay, I finally got caught up...whew!

HOwdy ladies!!

Theresa, the T-shirt is totally doable. One of these days I will get Derrick to fool around with it. I'm guessing that this is basically the look everyone wants?

Kelly!

Jill, I am sooooooo looking forward to what you have to say about the Aulani. I plan on going there for my 35th anniversary in 2012. I'm hoping to rent points. :thumbsup2 BYW- Do you get a nice discount for being a CM?

Tomorrow Dave and I are taking my mom to my aunts funeral in So Cal. It was my mom's brother's wife. Probably spend the Friday night. So I will be MIA for the next couple of days.

Have a nice weekend and stay dry! :goodvibes
Yes, Aulani is not cheap by any means...LOL $400-500 per night :scared1: We got 25% off, so we picked a pool view room. That is why we are only staying 4 nights there...LOL We are super excited :)

Hi ladies! I hope you all are having a great night! I am caught up on the thread. Took forever

Things have been really crazy here. I have been having problems lately with my fiance. Ever since I got full custody of Madelyn he has been extremely controlling and very verbally abusive. I haven't been happy at all. He's angry about everything. He's mad thar my ex and I are finally getting along. He wants to control my life and I am not willing to let that happen. Well, I ended things with him this weekend. I broke off our engagement. It has been something I have struggled with for awhile and have found myself praying over and over about. Thank goodness, this weekend we had an argument that really made me realize what I am getting myself into. He has been there for me as an emotional support for the entire year I spent fighting for custody of my daughter. But he's also very "walk on eggshells" type of person. You have to be careful what you say or it can send him reeling. He's has anger issues. I deserve more than that and so does my daughter. Anyways, I just felt I needed to tell you all since I have mentioned I was moving to California and will be close to a lot of you. I'm not sad or upset. I KNOW I did the right thing.

Hope I didn't dampen the mood. :flower3:
Hugs & Diva strength to you for having to make hard decisions. Like the others...I'm so happy & proud you made the right decision for you and Maddie. You both deserve nothing but happiness and being treated like a princess :)

Hey Ladies! I'm back from the cruise and had a good time. There were a few hiccups, but overall still a very relaxing and fun time.

I'm super exhausted right now, but I just wanted to pop in and say hi and hope everyone is well .
Been thinking of you Katie. Can't wait to hear how things went and see pic's :)

Very sad to hear about the missing CM :guilty:

I hope everyone had a fantastic weekend. :goodvibes I did a whole lot of nothing and it was great.

So they got the guy that hit and killed my cousin:

I'll be interested to see how it turns out for this guy.
Doesn't make things any easier, but what a relief to have him off the streets. Continued prayers to you all.

I wish we could take ALL of you!! We should definitely try and plan a Girls WDW trip. We all leave tonight, flying the red-eye so we'll be there bright and early tomorrow morning. I'm hoping I can sleep on the plane...

Hmmmm..... I'm not sure. Lemme check my ticker.

 Yep! I'm going to WDW! :faint:

We're off to see the Wizard...:wizard:oh wait that was on Sunday when Linda, Bree, Cheryl and I went to see Wicked...we are off to see the East Coast Mickey!! I am so excited and was up at the crack of dawn...before dawn really because I could not sleep! I can't wait to spend time with some amazing Divas at WDW and also I get to spend a couple of days with Mr. CA in the land where we met. I get the best of both worlds and am jumping for joy with excitement! :dance3:

Wendy - I am so glad that they caught the guy now I hope that the justice system does it's job. Sending good thoughts your way. I am excited that you are coming to DL in Oct. Can't wait to see you!

Bridget - Your job sounds like a lot of fun. I have a friend in Denver who is an event planner for a non-profit but before she moved to Denver she worked in corporate even planning mostly planning incentive/award trips. I really like the hospitality industry and I work on the hotel side.

I hope everyone has a great week and I wish you all were going with us on our WDW adventure.:goodvibes

Hi ladies! I'm excited too to leave tonight. It may sound funny, but I'm more excited about being there to see Callie, Kendall and Courtney enjoy WDW for the first time!

We had a wonderful time at Wicked Sunday night and it just whetted my appetite for more time with Divas.

I wish you were all going too (especially Linda and Bree--who already had a trip planned later in the Spring--boo)

Ok--I'm sure we'll be checking in--at least half of us are taking laptops and we all have our phones!

Happy & Safe travels to the next round of WDW bound Diva's!! I hope you all have an amazing time.
We had a blast while we were there and got to do alot of new things and try new foods. I had a friend comment on my FB..."do you guys just eat and shop the whole time"....LOL.......ummmmm, yeah! We threw in some rides here and there too. I love Flower & Garden time of year....so pretty! Our weather was nothing short of fantastic. We wore shorts & Tshirts the entire trip, morning til night. Just perfect.

Hoping everybody is doing well!!

Hi girls! :goodvibes

To those of you leaving for WDW----have a great time!! I LOVE :lovestruc:lovestruc:lovestruc Disney World! :yay:

Marie---I really like that dress! :thumbsup2 There isn't enough out there for those of us who prefer to wear sleeves. Downeast Basics has a lot of really pretty dresses. And its mostly all modest. And don't be nervous. You will have a great time!

Hugs.... and good for you for having the strength to get out NOW. From personal experience, once the verbal starts, often the physical isn't far behind...

Hugs & Diva strength to you for having to make hard decisions. Like the others...I'm so happy & proud you made the right decision for you and Maddie. You both deserve nothing but happiness and being treated like a princess :)

Thanks girls! I appreciate the hugs and words of encouragement.

Lisa---yikes! I am so sorry to hear this

Finally caught up (again!) Now here is a super long post :rotfl:

Then tomorrow I am taking the girls shopping because we got 100.00 in gift certificates from Children's place that are good starting tomorrow so that will be fun.
That is amazing....I wish gift certificates magically showed up at my house :lmao:

LOVE it! I am all for a tye dye day :stir:

My CM friends would get us into the parks each day. That's what I meant before, when I said "help us with admission." I have no idea why I didn't come out just say let us in, they're allowed to do it. I'm such a dork.
Maybe 2012 we can do one of the races and meet up? Just hit me up if you want to meet up or share a room at WDW some time. There's no race, but I do take my solo trips in early Dec, and it's the same to a CM letting 1 person in as letting up to 3 people in. You get a ticket, and can park hop all day, and separate (the CM doesn't have to stay with you when you readmit to the parks).
Ohhh....well let me talk to my hubby and see when I can swing it. Since I am teaching now, I run on a school schedule.
http://www.disboards.com/showthread.php?t=2136911&highlight=disney+rental+home

Anyone else see this house? It looks as if it will sleep 8 or 9 people...wouldn't it be fun to stay theren on the Diva trip? It wouldn't even be that expensive splitting the cost! I would happily sleep in any bed that wasn't the toddler one!
I have seen this, and if we had enough Diva's, I would love to stay here :)

I think we should have a "Billy" shirt day & all get some hillbilly teeth & go to the show & sit & smile hugely at him!!!! :lmao: Maybe arrange for a group shot with a PhotoPass Photographer too!!!
084-7.jpg
This is a great idea! It would definitely be something different :3dglasses

Kelly~ I don't understand the whole megabyte thing. How do you know how much you use? My phone is on my dad's account and I pay him since it is much cheaper sharing his family plan than starting my own. He hasn't said anything about prices changes to me though.

Well, I am getting caught up at work, thank goodness. My lesson plans for my ASL 2 class are written out till the end of the school year (now to write the final), and my ASL 1 class is planned the next 4 weeks out. I wrote my first detention today. The student has been so rude and disrespectful. When I caught him not working, I asked him about it and he yelled at me. I said, "You need to be more respectful." He replies, "Then don't ask me!" Ugh! Teens :rotfl: I love them, but where are the manners anymore?

My son Brydon has been sick since yesterday morning, running a fever up and down. If he is still feverish in the morning we have to take him to the doctors for them to listen to his lungs. My poor baby...

Have a wonderful night and I will be back when I can get away from class prep and family stuff :goodvibes

Well I have been awake for 4 hours and I am NOT on a plane to WDW. :surfweb: But I did get some work done on the retreat I am planning in Arizona in July, and I thought through some ideas for my travel business.

So I was in the checkout line at Safeway last night and the checker asked me if I needed a good movie for kids. "Maybe..." So she told me about the deal they had for a bunch of free stuff I could get if I bought Tangled. "Well I don't have any kids but I would really like that for myself!" So I bought the one that includes the DVD for me and the Blu-ray that I can give to DD for my grandson.

So now it's off to get ready for work and maybe get there at a decent time for a change. Have a great day ladies! :umbrella:

Morning all!!

I know all the WDW bound divas are gone already but have a BLAST if you happen to check in at all! I know you guys will!! I agree with Jill that Flower and Garden is a GREAT time to go! Our very first trip back in 02 was in May which was during F&G and while I would have preferred to go a bit earlier when it wasn't so warm I LOVED all the flowers!! Jill your pics were AWESOME and it looks like you guys had a BLAST!

To Lisa and Jenn I have DSL and I should have read the e-mail I got from them better because I am not for sure if it is for uverse people as well but I am thinking it might be and Jen this is for people who have AT&T internet. They ARE capping usage on their phone data plans BUT if you already had unlimited on your phones then you are grandfathered in so you are OK. But on the net what they are doing is from now on IF you go over the megabytes then they will start charging you for x amount that you go over. I should have saved the email but they gave examples that said for that amount of megabytes you could download x amount of emails a month, x amount of song downloads, movie downloads etc. But since my dh is a computer geek I asked him how that translated and he said it is NOT very much and that if you leave your computer on all the time like we do even if the internet is not "turned on" persay we have autoupdates and like on here we get those email notices etc for posts and such and all of that adds up. And for us the biggest thing is our netflix. Everytime you watch a movie it is constantly streaming from the net. So for us we are either going to have to get rid of netflix and barely use our computer OR go with another provider which is double the cost we have now. :( It was a big story on the news and you might be able to google it but I guarantee AT&T is going to lose a LOT of customers once people start getting billed!

Anyway I ran out yesterday and finished up the girls easter stuff which was a relief to have that done and checked off my list!! Then I got out the girls swim bags and went through everything. Our team uses a massive amount of chlorine in the pool and it really eats through suits, goggles and swim caps so esp after the season ends and they sit over time they tend to wear out and break etc. So I checked everything and for now it looks like I just need to pick up one spare pair of goggles for katy and then we have to go to the swim shop and order their suits.

We are also all getting haircuts this weekend. I let the girls grow their hair out during soccer and off season and then they get real short bobs for swim as it is much easier to care for AND to get in the swim cap LOL. So that is our mission for this weekend. Then Shelby just got invited to a birthday so we have a busy weekend on tap!

Then as I mentioned Monday swim starts and NEXT weekend is our soccer registration and I just found out that mom and I were invited to a baby shower the following weekend. So we are going to be busy bee's! But that is good cuz it's fun stuff although after this month the meets start and then my weekends will REALLY be booked LOL. Our time trials are May 7th and then it is meets every weekend from then on!!

Well I am off to get the girls to school.

Have a great day everyone!! :)

Here is just one article I found:

Looks like AT&T DSL and U-Verse customers need to be more wary of their Internet usage when AT&T’s new service terms are implemented.

Beginning May 2nd, AT&T will implement a new 150GB monthly usage cap for their DSL customers and a 250GB monthly usage cap for their U-verse users. Those exceeding the caps consistently will incur overage charges: $10 fee for every additional 50GB consumed beyond the associated cap.

While these new terms are said to only affect 2% of AT&T DSL customers, AT&T will be making the effort to send out notifications regularly when customers start nearing the newly established caps. Customers can also monitor their usage and usage history via various online tools provided by AT&T.

"Using a notification structure similar to our new wireless data plans, we'll proactively notify customers when they exceed 65%, 90% and 100% of the monthly usage allowance," stated AT&T to Broadband Reports.

"We are committed to providing a great experience for all of our Internet customers," AT&T continues. "We will communicate early and often with these customers so they are well aware of their options before they incur any additional usage charges. Importantly, we are not reducing the speeds, terminating service or limiting available data like some others in the industry."

Although AT&T maintains that these new changes are mainly to deter bandwidth-hungry users, it remains to be seen how this will impact the usage of services that normally are bandwidth-intensive, such as music/movie/tv streaming, and whether other ISPs will soon follow suit.

Basically if you try to watch any shows online or have netflix, download webcasts, songs etc, work from home and use the net a lot you are SOL. So it looks like I am going to be internet shopping whether I like it or not. And the crappy part is comcast is doing the SAME thing and they are really the only two that we have here! :(

Good morning, ladies!! Happy Hump Day!!!

I had a friend comment on my FB..."do you guys just eat and shop the whole time"....LOL.......ummmmm, yeah!
Isn't that all you're supposed to do? :confused3 ;)

Hey Girls!
I'm leaving for the airport in about 30 mnutes!!!!!!!
And I'm gonna be stalking you here and on FB for the next few days!!!!!!!!!! :rotfl2:

My son Brydon has been sick since yesterday morning, running a fever up and down. If he is still feverish in the morning we have to take him to the doctors for them to listen to his lungs. My poor baby...
Aw, poor dear. It's so hard when our kids are sick. Hope he feels better soon!

I want to see Tangled! I asked my kids if we should just buy it, and the said no! They just want to rent it, but don't think they'll like it enough to own. :sad2:

Anyway I ran out yesterday and finished up the girls easter stuff which was a relief to have that done and checked off my list!!
So what sort of things did you get for their baskets? I am having a hard time coming up with ideas. I don't want too much candy. Some, of course, but not too much. And the older two teens are harder to buy for.

Have a great day everyone!!!!!!!!!!! :sunny:
