I really, really like the DisDivaLand shirt idea, but I think we should also revisit my shirt idea from last year.

Sorry the image is so huge. I still can't figure out how to size my photos once they are in photobucket.

I think we should have a "Billy" shirt day & all get some hillbilly teeth & go to the show & sit & smile hugely at him!!!! Maybe arrange for a group shot with a PhotoPass Photographer too!!!

Happy Sunday Evening ladies.

Been sick in beed for almost 3 days, can't seem to kick this cold bug. But I did get out for a little bit today to re-stock up on medicine, and got some Egg Drop Soup from my Favorite Chinnese Resturant, gonna go heat that up and hunker in for the night.

I got home from shopping, and on the table was a package that the DBF did not tell me arrived yesterday...it was my Diva Easter basket already I posted pics and everything in the Easter thread.

It made me day

I have had a nice quiet weekend. Maddie's in California on Spring Break with her dad. Boy I miss her..but I know she's having a blast.

I am watching the 2nd pirates movie and messing around on the Dis. Nothing too exciting. I should be working out though

Hey Ladies! I'm back from the cruise and had a good time. There were a few hiccups, but overall still a very relaxing and fun time.

I'm super exhausted right now, but I just wanted to pop in and say hi and hope everyone is well .

I made it to page 86 but I need to get ready for bed.

I know a couple of you are planning to be in DL during the month of October. Those of you who already know your exact dates, can you do me a favor and post them? I will then add them to the front page, so those who are looking to meet up with other Divas and/or their families will know who is going to be there and when.
Also if you'd like you can add if you'll be there solo or with family, and if you are attending one of the Halloween parties. (although they don't seem to have the party dates listed just yet.)

I plan on going on Oct 16 (will go up Oct 15-16 if my son goes he is so fickle but he has never been up for Halloween first year he missed due to his grades then the next two years he had broken legs with cast up to top of thigh both time)
Depending on the cost of gas I may also come up the next weekend not sure about that one.

I am a newbie, and I am planning on 99.9% coming, I just can not imagine how fun it will to be with just woman, and no kids. And the Scavy hunt and everything looks so fun. Oh and the food the Diva's all eat, and I saw some pictures of some fun drinks too.

They were getting ready to go on this last trip and everything they were planning sounded like so much fun. especially the scavy hunt I have seen groups doing that at disneyland and am now excited to be part of one.

\There is a neighborhood wide yard sale coming up next month (our HOA only allows pre-planned sales twice yearly). Anyway, the kids were saying I should do some baking and set up a bake sale table the day of the yard sale.
I don't know though...... Do people buy baked items at yard sales??? I thought they'd just be on the hunt for cheapo household items and such.

Hmmm, I'll have to think about it I guess.

I have notice people will buy baked goods and drinks but when kids are selling it seems to do really good. I remember my kids selling lemonaid made from a powder mix and people would pay and then throw extra change in their money cup

Yes, Billy shirts sound like a great plan. Your shirts have always been great looking --and on everyone. How you do that I am not sure but I take my hat off to you that take care of making and designing the shirts.

Now on to the needing a new reservation for trip in May. I was booked at HoJo with the ET rate. I got kids a prem room and ended up getting one for my husband and I. He needs a Handicapped room -but I was told the handicapped rooms do not have refrig or micro and that the bathroom in prem room is very big and he could take electric wheel chair in the prem bathrooms with no problem at all. I decided to check on room config. with the new issues of not getting room you have reserved at Ho JO. I asked the front desk staff to please measure the point of the sink counter to the toilet. I needed the closest point to make sure there was indeed enough room. heavens the door measured right at 24 inches -- He could not even get into the bathroom and it was way to small to even be able to turn around in. (He would have had to back out each time.). The front desk staff was very polite and helpful. Chris was the name. He suggested I get a handicapped room when I let him know I was told this unit was told me me would fit and since they do not have rollin-rollout showers I was willing to try the prem room. He now really shocks me and said they have wheel chair accessible showers. Huh? Did that just happen -- nope, they had those rooms when I booked way last year.

It was late and I let him know I was going to change to that room but I did not want to bother him anymore so would call back in morning. Now mind you I was told they have 4 accessible rooms with the right shower. I guess that is not true-- they have one that was already booked.

I have to say I was upset I have put so much time into this trip for the grand kids and it was looking like we were not going to have any place to stay. That week is packed as the POC premier is this weekend. It was suggested for me to call manager. He was not available but did return my call with in the day. On the message I was told they would take care of issue for us and move the other family . I can NOT let them do that. I would think they need that room to. But, why this far out would they place a non-handicapped party in that room since there is only ONE ? Makes me wonder.

Disney had a handicapped room as they do not rent those unless you need for sure. They do not book handicapped rooms to non- handicapped until last day. (That is the way I understood what I was told) and not just to book a room. Disney did have to do a bit of looking to get the non-handicapped room. Even If they would have not had reg room a handicapped room would not have been offered as daughter's family does not need.

I have figured out who dropped the ball at HoJo but do not feel it is my place to post that anywhere. I sure hope manager sees the issue and works on making sure correct information is given to future guest. HoJo has so much going to it. So many of the staff are gold medal employees.

My grand kids are so sad they are not going to get to play in the new kids water area. With DL pool being redone we can use the pool at the grand.


Thank you for letting me vent. Money is an issue for most of us these days and having to pay and extra $1500 + for our rooms will put a kink in trip but I can make lots of dinners with hamburger and chicken. I need to remember to repeat "I like chicken thighs." But at end of day husband will have the room he needs and kids will have fun no matter where we stay.

Sounds like everyone had a good weekend for the most part.

LOVE that Billy pic! I like the idea of another group pic with Billy. A group of us went in Oct of 09 and took a group pic. It was really fun!

For those of you leaving for DW soon have a blast!!

I am off to work today. Last day without mom so I am really glad. It is def stressful without her at work so I will be glad when she returns!

This is my LAST week without anything going on so I need to make sure and enjoy it!! Next week swim starts which means we will have piano and 2 different swim practices EVERY night! This is prob my LEAST fav sport season as far as practices go. It gets really monontonous and they practice rain or shine. Esp this year because the girls have to go at separate times. They love it though so it is worth it for them. It has been so nice having this last month off!! The girls also have another field trip next week and I am driving this time. I am looking forward to it though. They are going to see Seusical at one of the high schools so that should be fun.

Over all the years they have been in school they were lucky to get 1 or 2 field trips in a year but this year I guess they are making up for it cuz Katy esp is getting a BUNCH this year which I am glad since it is her last year. They have another one to the capitol soon for a science day and Shelby has one to the Crocker art museum which I am looking forward to as I have never been there believe it or not. You know what they say you go all sorts of places and never go to places in your own home town LOL.

I haven't heard yet if I am going to get to drive on shelby's trip but I always get to chaperone Katy's because no one ever volunteers in her class which is sad but good for me cuz I always get to help! Then as school gets close to the end they have a bunch of other fun stuff. They will have their bbq again for their reading program and a day at the community pool for the kids that have never gotten any citations and a day at sunsplash and then Katy is in that tutoring program and I think they are getting to go to a rivercats game. So LOTS of fun stuff coming up but that means I am going to be BUSY!

Looking forward to it though esp since all our vacay plans got cancelled. Gives me some fun stuff to look forward to!!

Morning ladies...I am feeling a little blue today and really did all weekend...I think it is the weather but I just want to snap out of it...I had planned on finishing up my TR over the weekend and just couldn't get in the mood to write. Everytime I see a TV commercial for green lawns and seeds etc I just sigh. Usually this time of year I have seeds sprouting all over the house in prep for starting our vegetable garden and with so much snow still around I am afraid to start them too soon. I am afraid to start planning for Easter because I'm not even sure it will melt in time to hunt Easter eggs outside or that if it has melted it will still be too muddy. Plus the Horse is keeping us in this waiting game. See big time case of the blues!
Decided I would spend a little more time on the DIS today and see if it doesn't lift my mood a bit.

Sorry you are feeling blue. I hate it when that happens. I remember living in MI and feeling the same way. There were times when I felt I couldn't stand the snow and cold another second and wanted to escape to anywhere sunny and warm. I'd sit at the computer and search for all sorts of beach photos. Beach porn I'd call it. lol
