Kelly~ Are you going to play on the slides when you go? We have never been to the water park portion even though it is only 10 minutes away. I am too scared to wander around there in a bathing suit! :scared1:

Beth~ awwww that was sweet...thanks!

Sarah~ :cheer2: Great job!!!

I am off to go to mediation with Tahoe's dad. A little nervous, so please pray or send good thoughts after 2pm. Hopefully he agrees with what I am asking.

Afternoon all!

Back from work and now just waiting to pick up the girls and then off to Piano.

Jen - Nope no slides for me!! I have done them before when it was just our family and they are pretty fun but A it is probably not going to be very hot yet tomorrow and the water isn't heated and B I agree with you. No suit for me!! EEK!!!! People might faint LOL.

Sarah congrats on your run and the other marathons sound like fun too! Esp the Vegas one!

Beth I am with you I can't WAIT for this week to be over. In more ways than one! I am with you about just being glad to be over with school but obviously of course for our trip!!

Have a good rest of the day everyone! :)

Oh and P.S. Good luck Jen at court!

:cool1: I found out from the RunDisney booth at the SD R&R 1/2 on Saturday that the medal is going to be Tink's wings with a Tink in the middle that spins. Sounds neat!

Ooh, they sound awesome!! I'm getting more and more excited about it. I'm still in shock that I'm actually going to do it, lol.

Great job!! :cheer2:

Yay!!! How fun!! Okay, we are definitely going to go down and cheer for you and all the other runners. :woohoo:
And yes, we have to find a time to meet up while you are here. :thumbsup2

Anyone else doing this run?? Come on, it sounds fun. Not that I'm gonna run it. :rolleyes1 :lmao: But I will cheer for whom ever does. ::yes::

All the people on the sidelines cheering help SO much! Especially toward the last few miles. People make signs with posterboards for the people they are cheering on or even just funny signs.

One guy had a big sign that said "Run faster, I just farted!" :rotfl: Another said "Quit reading my sign and keep running" Or "Your feet hurt because you are kicking so much butt!"

There were alot more but those are all I remember right now.

Ooh, they sound awesome!! I'm getting more and more excited about it. I'm still in shock that I'm actually going to do it, lol.

You're gonna do great!

One guy had a big sign that said "Run faster, I just farted!" :rotfl: Another said "Quit reading my sign and keep running" Or "Your feet hurt because you are kicking so much butt!"

:rotfl: Those are great! There was one on the Princess half that said, "Why are you reading this sign? You should be running!" When I did the Shamrock with no friends on the sidelines I was bummed seeing all the signs for other people. Then I passed a sign cheering on Kimberly and Jen. Woo hoo! I shouted to them as I ran past, "Thank you random citizen for making a sign for me!" They had a good laugh and I felt better.

Mediation went well!!! Tahoe now goes to his dad's every other weekend which is much less than it was in the previous arrangement. Plus, when he does go it has to be at the grandparents house until his dad proves he has a stable home with Tahoe's own room. :goodvibes

Now I better get back to making dinner before my enchilada's verdes burn!

Hi all! I had a pretty good day today and I hope you all did too!

Later,
SarahMay

P.S. For all of you who remember Heather....think really good thoughts for her the next few days please!

Morning all!

Just checking in real quick before I am off for the big 5th/6th grade trip. Shall be interesting chaperoning that many kids. I am usually only chaperoning our class or maybe helping with both 5th grades or both 4th if I do it for Shelby's class but this is all 4 classes (both 5th and 6th which means about 70 kids) and I am sure I don't have to tell you how kids at that age act! EEK! So it shall be interesting. Hopefully they will be too busy having fun to act up too much and there will be the 4 teachers but I'm not sure how many parent chaperones. You had to option to just drive and drop off or to stay. I'm not sure how many are actually staying like me. Shall be interesting. :)

At least the weather is FINALLY starting to get better!! It was really dark and ugly all day yesterday but never really rained thank goodness so the girls were able to have their field day and had fun they said. Then we went to piano and of course swim. They got all their ribbons from the meet last Saturday although they forgot one of shelby's and Katy made swimmer of the week for her age group and got a neat certificate and a starbucks gift card so she was all excited. They started it last year and neither one of the girls made it last year so this is the first time for either of them. I just hope Shelby makes it once. There are a lot of kids though and only a handful of weeks so it might be a while before she gets a chance. They base it on attendance at practice and meets and how much effort you put into practice and just being a good sportsman etc.

Anyway I am looking forward to tomorrow as it is my only free day to start packing and get all my last minute laundry done etc. I always get nervous before a trip that I will forget stuff! Luckily we have Saturday to get the car all prepped but I want to have the bags all done so we can just load the car up Sunday morning.

Jen congrats on your mediation going well! I am sure that is a weight off!

Sarah glad your day went well and I will def be thinking good thoughts for Heather!

For everyone else have a great day and talk to you all later!!

Good morning, ladies!! :sunny:

One guy had a big sign that said "Run faster, I just farted!" :rotfl: Another said "Quit reading my sign and keep running" Or "Your feet hurt because you are kicking so much butt!"
Those are great. :rotfl2: I'll have Noelle make some signs. She's much more crafty than me.

I'm so glad to hear that. What a relief it must be for you. :)

You got it. :thumbsup2

Good luck!! ;)

Morning...almost afternoon! I am coming down with a cold and it is taking a toll on my body  My hope is that todays trip to the gym helps me.

I hope everyone is enjoying the sun today!!!

just bumping up to the first page-- it was so lonely back here on the 2nd page.

Wow everyone must be out enjoying summer and the last week's of school etc! This place is DEAD!

Jen hope you are feeling better!

We had a good day yesterday. I had two boys and two girls including Katy in my car yesterday. One boy was pretty quiet but the other one, well he was a bit hyper but we made it there in one piece LOL. Once we got there everyone scattered and I set up camp on a lounge chair in front of the wave pool and everyone gave me their towels and such to watch.

The kids had a GREAT time and it was nice to finally have some sun after such a LONG cold wet winter/spring whatever you want to call it. But I forgot my sunscreen and I got burned :( So I am def a hurting puppy today. Luckily I wore capris and a T so it is only the bottom of my legs and arms so I REALLY look dorky and feel even worse but hopefully it won't last too long!

Got up this morning and got out the suitcases and we got new luggage for xmas and our old duffle bag was pretty worn out but it really held a lot and was a GREAT bag. This new one is a traditional bag but doesn't seem to hold NEARLY as much. So it is going to be a challenge the next AIR trip we take! But for now at least I seemed to get all my stuff in it and I got the girls all packed so now Shane just needs to pack his stuff and I have to get the incidentals like our chargers and such. And then on Saturday we will have to get the car all cleaned out and we always take our portable dvd player and an ice chest and such so that will still have to be done but at least the clothes are ready!

Anyway hope everyone has a GREAT day and take care!

Hello?
Anyone?
Bueller?
Bueller?
Bueller?

Well, good morning to anyone still out there who's not MIA right now. Hope you are all having a good week so far.

Last night Ruben surprised me with a rose when he got home. I teasingly reminded him that our anniversary isn't until June 27, and he said he knew that, but he wanted to say thank-you to me for all the things I do for him and the kids, and around the house. As a stay-at-home mom, it's nice to hear that now and then. :goodvibes Although he's pretty good about surprising me like that every so often. Guess that's why we are still happily married! :rotfl:

Anyway, just wanted to pop in here before getting the twins off to school. Have a great day!

I know. Well, it does come in waves, but it would be nice to see a few familiar faces posting. Hopefully they will. :)
Glad you had fun yesterday. Ouchie on the burn!!

:wave2: I can drop by for a minute!

I ended up having coffee after work yesterday with a friend from HS who just moved back to town. I swear we were there for 4 hours talking. I'm so glad she's back in town and we can hang out again. We're going to a movie today and then she's probably going to go walking/jogging with me in the park.

I am loving todays weather!! Yesterdays too. Maybe my poor skin can get a little color so I wont be so pale anymore.

Morning - I'm here!!

Jen - glad mediation went well!

Beth - what a sweet husband!

Getting ready for our first large picnic this Saturday - 900 people for a Jimmy Buffet Pirate's in Paradise - Margaritas, Cheeseburgers, Buffet cover band - yeah!! And finally, some sunshine! I will be waiting today for about 15 boxes with my carnival booth prizes and table decorations! Poor UPS guy - luckily we know he quite well! And on top of prepping for the picnic, I am co-chairing a "Race to Save" this saturday for our school district to raise money for sports, co-curriculars, etc. Had to stuff the goody bags for the runner last night! I will be so glad when this weekend is over!

See ya!

Good morning! I'm here! :thumbsup2

Things are crazy as usual. Looking forward to the weekend - a great friend who lives in Georgia is coming here to visit w/ her 12 yr old dd. We'll be driving to DLR on Saturday night - spending three days in the park.:cool1::cool1::cool1: Her daughter has never been to Disneyland (although WDW countless times) . Looking forward to showing her around! :thumbsup2

Hope you all are having a wonderful day! :hippie::)

I just love flowers given as a surprise. Roses are the best they smell so good. :)

Have fun packing Kelly. Did I ever tell you how much I hate to pack for trips !!!!
actually it is a joke here. I used to be off to somewhere all the time --so was always packing a bag for at least over night.

Beth a side note --one of my girl friends has gotten a single rose every week of her married life -- so that makes it 37 years now. Her husband was a runner up in I think it was Woman's Day for most romantic husband. I would think that puts your husband right up there to.

Ya, this thread was on the second page :(. With all the "forgotten threads". I could tell it was lonely so I bumped it back to where it belongs-- on the first page.

Have wonderful end of school year days. Yipeeeeeeee-- Schools out for summer-- gotta love that song. :woohoo: :woohoo::dance3: :cheer2:

:) :wave2::wave2::wave2:

Awww....how sweet!

Jessica~ I love it when you have friends that you can just pick right back up again. How fun for you!

We went to dinner with some friends last night and right before I left I was running a 102 fever. It had taken 2 years to get this dinner planned so there was nothing stopping me from going. By the time we arrived back home, I was miserable and spent the night burning off my fever. It is almost gone now, but I am taking it easy today.

We leave for Yosemite on Monday and I just realized that while it will be in the mid 70's there next week, there is still a ton of snow on the ground! Should make for an interesting trip!

Ooooo, look! I see people! :yay: lol

Whew! I just spent the past two hours scrubbing my kitchen, which isn't all that large, from top to bottom. My arms hurt, but it's all purty now. :)
I'm trying to get some cleaning done today because after tomorrow, when all four kids are home all day, forget it. I'll be lucky to keep the place picked up, let alone scrubbed.

How nice, Jess. It's great to catch up with old friends, and from the way it sounds you two will make up for lost time.

Wow, that picnic on Saturday sounds awesome. I wanna go! :rotfl: It also all sounds like a lot of work for you though. One of these days I'd love to hear all about your business, how you got started, what sort of parties you've done, etc. You'll have to find an excuse to come on out to Vegas and we'll do lunch. ;)

Good morning! I'm here! :thumbsup2

Hi Becci! Have a wonderful time at Disneyland with your friend and her daughter. It's so exciting to show the park to someone for the first time. :goodvibes

Oh wow. Isn't that something!

Well, shoot. I'm sorry you were so miserable and had a fever last night for your special dinner. That sucks. But I'm glad to hear it seems to have broken for now. Take lots of vitamins!
Yosemite sounds fun. One day I'd like to take a trip there. The pictures I've seen are simply breathtaking.

Just wanted to say hi to everyone! :wave2:

Hope everyone is having a great day. :goodvibes
