Ditching a Bally's Membership?

Has anyone ever sucessfully ditched a Bally's Membership?

My DH signed a 3-year contract about a year ago, and he used to use it quite often, but he hasn't gone in I don't even now how long, and it still costs us $60 a month. headache: Ouch, yes, I know. I'd like to kick him! )

The $60 isn't "really" an issue, and I realize that he signed a contract, but if anyone knows a way to get OUT of it, I'd love to know what you did.

Not intentionally, but we moved to ME and they didn't have one nearby.

If you find out let me know. I joined last year and then had to stop using it for medical reasons. Shoulder surgery kept me out for a month and during that month my knee stopped hurting. My Dr. ordered me to stay away from there because I was shredding what little cartilage I have left in my knee. Thankfully I am only paying $25 a month and my contract is up in 9 more months.
