I know this question has likely been asked a bazillion times, but I've been searching and have been unable to find the answer, so please bear with me...

We're going to be staying at the Hard Rock Hotel for our entire trip, and plan to visit WDW for 2 or 3 of the days. How long a drive is it from HRH to WDW? Does anyone know how much taxi fare or something like Mears shuttle would be? Any recommendations on the best way to commute back and forth?

Thanks!

We took a taxi from RPR to Animal Kingdom. That cab ride cost us $35 and then we got charged an extra $9 at the gates to be dropped off. Apparently there is now a drop off charge (it is the same as the parking charge). So, I advise you not to take a cab OR take a cab to Downtown Disney and take the bus from there. It will save you about $20.

The drive ranges from 20 minutes to Epcot to 25 minutes to AK.

My page is here, but you'll be going the opposite direction to start.

That's ok, exit Universal and take I-4 West towards Tampa. After about 10 minutes, you'll start to see signs leading to Disney. There are many exits which will lead you into the Disney area, and then you can follow the signs to your destination.

Pssst. Park at the All Star Resorts to save the parking fee. There will be a guard gate to pass, just show your license and say you're going to Sports or Movies. They'll say it's on the right. Park your car, and get on the bus. Then when you come back, you can eat in the food court. Take the exit that says Blizzard Beach/All Star Resorts and follow the signs.
